Cigar Shaped Object Seen North of Breckenridge, Texas- April 7, 2017

I saw an unidentified craft this afternoon. It went from shiny white to smokey black in an instant. I managed to get one picture before it completely disappeared.

It was not an airplane.

I was letting my dogs in and head a small prop plane.  While I was looking for the small plane, I saw a glint of light to my North.  The sound of the small plane disappeared (I assume it was landing at the county airport, south of (behind) me, because when I heard it, it sounded directly overhead.

I focused on the bright white object and saw that it was a cigar shape with no wings.  It also made no sound and it was moving faster than a commercial jet at that altitude.

I ran and grabbed my camera but by the time I had it focused, the bright object was gone and only a shadowy form appeared.   That is what is in the photos above.  I enlarged and cropped the image to see it better.

On Sunday, July 7, 2016 at 8:19 p.m., I took several photos of the Waxing Moon.
In one of the photos I captured two lights, which were located near the bottom left of the Moon.
These were not stars, as I took several photos afterwards and no stars/lights showed in the photos.


Did the camera capture 2 UFOs (unidentified flying objects)?  Perhaps.

The project was conceived by and is led by Mark Rodeghier, scientific director of the Center for UFO Studies, and Alexander Wendt, a political scientist at Ohio State University.

It has become clear that any breakthrough in our understanding of the UFO phenomenon will require a break from the past. Witness testimony, photos and videos, and government documents have taken us only so far; instead, we need to record and study UFOs directly, as other sciences do with their own specific objects. Of course, this is a daunting task, but it is made conceivable by advances in technology, software, communication capabilities, and power sources.

We believe that the current scientific, technical, and social environment is primed to support such an endeavor as UFODATA. We expect to build on the best work of the past and do what the scientific community as a whole has failed to do: take UFOs seriously and study them rigorously.

Sighting Over Three Rivers, Texas - February 10, 2015

A LITS investigator had a "Pheonix type" UFO sighting last night, along with quite a few other folks in the area of Three Rivers, Texas (South of San Antonio).
The sighting lasted at least 30 minutes and then, according to the main witness, Connie C. of LITS ( Lightsinthe Texassky), after hovering for 30 minutes or more, the lights moved off to the North and disappeared.
Some other witnesses saw the object/lights from Hwy 72 (east of sighting location), George West on 799 and from FM 889, along with other citixens in 3 Rivers.

Numerous lights in the sky were seen near the refinery in Three Rivers, Texas.
Time was just before 8:30 pm this evening, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, lasting til about 9:00 pm.
These lights (orange in color with a number of tiny white lights), were seen by at least 3 groups of people and were reported to the local sheriff's department, and to me here at LITS.
According to one of the witnesses, the lights were the same orange as street lights but were 15 degrees above the horizon.
The main witnesses were 2 miles due North of the refinery.  Witnesses due east on Hwy 72 reported that they saw the lights about a mile north of the refinery.  Therefore, that puts the lights at about 1 mile from main witnesses and less than 1,000 feet AGL. 
Some witnesses reported seeing tiny white lights in addition to the orange lights. The orange lights appeared in rows and would last a a short while, then disappear.
One witness stated that he did not see a structure but there was an area around the lights that seemed hazy, perhaps even cloaked.


Similar, if not the same lights, were also seen over the Freer, Texas baseball field, about 45 minutes later.  Freer is located 45 miles West of Three Rivers.

Boomerang/Chevron Type Craft Seen By Couple In Houston

A friend and witness recalls seeing a boomerang or chevron shaped craft over Houston, Texas.

Hey Sunny,


I didn't see the boomerang in Round Rock though did see something relatively similar in Houston around 2001-2002 (sometime in March to April.. its been a few years so forgive the lack of date details.  It was also around 1-2 in the AM). I'm not sure if I reported this to you since I've 'met' you online. 

 I was living in Houston that the time in Spring Branch just off Voss road near hwy I-10.  I'd just come back from a get together with some girl friends and was sitting outside with my husband at the time,= along with one of his friends. His friend was turned away from the house facing approx South, I was facing roughly ENE and my husband was facing roughly north.  In front of me was a small bend in the roofline topped by the crown of an oak tree.  The moon was out and close to full and slightly southwest of me, I had to turn around to see it .. I remember this as we'd been discussing how to see the moons of Jupiter and it was not far from the moon at that time.  Within 15-20 mins of this I was looking over near the oak tree to my ENE and noticed movement in the sky coming from just north of that. I focused my eyes and grew way too excited to be able to tell the guys what I was seeing. I basically turned into Grok the caveman's wife and began to grunt and hoot and jump up and down while pointing at the sight ( I'm sure my sleeping neighbors appreciated this lol)


My x did see it in part before it went completely overhead. His friend scanned the entire sky too fast and never locked eyes on it so saw nothing.


I saw :  A 'chevron' shaped object approximately the size of my outstretched hand from thumbtip to middle finger ( my hands aren't that large) .. it was either lit a -very- pale orange or was so metallic it was reflecting the city lights very vaguely.  There were seven lights spaced along it with one centered on the center front angle. These were only slightly more visible than the object itself. There were no hard edges on the object, the ends and front angles were rounded off.

My x saw the lights plainly but never got a good look at the shape that surrounded them. He could not see the faint glow of the chevron or boomerang shape, only the shape the lights seemed to take. By the time he saw it, it was near half way across the sky and was soon obscured by the tree line at the south side of our yard.  It didn't seem to be traveling quickly though without a scale of the craft, that was hard for me to decipher. My x felt it was a 'huge' craft though I had nothing to judge it against and no way to know how far up in the sky it was traveling.


We heard not a sound from it. It was very late and the sound of the highway,  about 6-8 blocks away, could be faintly heard, but no airplane noises or the like were ever discerned. ( we did attempt to listen despite my earlier theatrics when trying to get them to look)


The state of the internet at that time was nothing like today though I remember finding at least one pic that was similar if not completely the same. Of course I went right inside and tried to find one that anyone else had also seen lol. I did NOT make any reports. at that time I was a bit skeptical that anyone would want to hear my story, even Mufon or other like organizations.


Before that time I'd been leading small groups out into the the woodlands north of Houston, in a national forest area. We called it " ufo hunting' though it was mostly star gazing and some energy work/spiritual stuff going on out there. I'd trained myself and others how to look for shooting stars, anomalous objects and satellites by looking at one part of the sky and allowing ones peripheral eyesight to detect motion before darting ones gaze towards it.  Scanning the sky, as my x's friend did, tends to make one miss any actual movement, which is the only logical reason we could give to the fact that the friend never saw what both of us did. 

Anyway, the similarity between your recent post and my experience prompted this email, though the one I saw had clearly defined edges.  Also the rounded edges of its ends was very much as mine was. The angle of mine was slightly different, somewhat tighter of an angle, not as widely spread apart though I was viewing it at a roughly 25 degree angle. Mine also had a definite set of lights though they were only slightly brighter than the vague glow or reflective skin of the object.


If I've reported this to you before, my apologies. I had a momentary case of internet amnesia and couldn't find the search option on your site.


On a side note.. congrats on your recent show at the Para conference in Tyler. I hope all went well! Sounds like you've been quite busy with your investigations and such!

Report:
Tonight, as I was walking my dogs, I looked up to see a boomerang shaped cloud flying North at a very high rate of speed.  At first, I thought it was some type of reflection, but there were no clouds in the sky for any light to be reflected.  It is a clear night. 
This object was completely silent.  My wife also saw this thing.  I thought maybe it could have been ducks or geese, but I have never seen them fly as fast as this object was moving.  This is my first experience with a UFO.  It's truly something I can't identify!  Wow!

I asked a couple of questions and received this response and photo.:

Yes, I saw this object at 8:57pm Central Time.  The boomerang shaped object was not clearly defined, as it appeared cloudlike.  However, it was definitely shaped as a boomerang with the angle of the boomerang being the front.  There were no lights, no sharp edges and no sound.  Really weird.

Triangle Observed Over Three Rivers, Texas - 1/16/2014

Date: Thursday, January 16, 2014
Time: 8:30 pm (20:30)
Shape: Triangle
Additional details:  3 white strobe lights.


I was backing out of a friend's driveway when I happened to glance up.  I immediately became aware that I was seeing 3 strobing white lights in a triangle formation.  A silver dollar held at arms length would just cover the object, as it appeared to be less than 1,000 feet AGL.  I would say that the object was 200 yards ahead of me and straight up, putting it at 70 degrees (field of view).

While observing the lights, I took note that I did not see any red and green navigation lights that would indicate conventional aircraft.

I attempted to take a photo but the object was already too far ahead, so I followed the object in my pickup for about a mile and a half, as it quickly pulled away from me and I lost sight of it.

The object was headed due east.  There was no sound associated with this unidentified flying object.

Daytime Sighting Of Square UFO Over Dallas, Texas 1-1-2014

A witness reports via comments on the site, of having witnessed a square craft over downtown Dallas, in a daytime sighting.

January 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

"My partner and I saw one this morning approximately 10 over downtown moving east."

I requested more information and received this comment.

"It was 10am January 1. We were headed east on I30 @ the Beckley exit, the object was rectangular and appeared to be over the downtown area. It seemed metallic or reflective and moving too slow to be an airplane. It quickly moved out of view but when we got on 75 north clear of downtown you could see it off in the distance to the northeast. We see planes flying in and out of Love Field all the time and this was like nothing we had ever seen. It wasn't as long as a 737 but was taller."

Square UFO Seen Over Dallas, Texas

I investigated reports of square-shaped craft near Gunter, which is north of Dallas.  During the onsite investigation and 'stake-out', I did see peculiar lights and get some anomalous readings on my equipment but never actually saw a craft.

There have been a number of reports, of witnesses observing square or rectangular flying objects.  Even this investigator has observed what appeared to be rectangular, or square-shaped objects in the sky.

Are these objects ours?  Are they flying platforms, blimps, or are they craft piloted by unknown intelligences?  That's the billion dollar question.

Strange Orb In Oregon August 27, 2011

I received an emailed report from a witness in Oregon, who stated that he had observed a truck tire sized orb.
The time of observation was approximately midnight, on or about August 27, 2011.

Here is that unedited report.

This happened August 27th  2011! It had a beachball size clearball also! It had this cherry red liquid in middle in tear drop shape in middle of ball!! It was surrounded by a magnidic field around it! The whole orb was size of a semi truck tire! It was spinning backwards while going forward! It was white on the outer rim and then mixed in with a blue green! It had a bunch of golden dust floating around the ball! It was moving pace fast walk! Was going over part of road where they tore up and put new cable in!! You see it sucking the power from them! It was making a chopping noise! It went spinning away 25ft away sat spun for sec , then went over iron plate manhole cover seem to arc and made same pop noise it did when showed up next to us!! Then it shot up hit powerpole then seem to arced again then gone! I am in Oregon!! I have been on radio many times! I also been interviewed by unsealed alien files! Also I am in UFO digest! I was interviewed for 2nd season of alien mysteries! They have been looking for more wittnesss of these orb encounters!!  I have been hoping that there would be a encounter like we had! Theres not as close! But he could see the clearball also!! This has been VERY stressful and I am very alone on it! If you might be able pass message to the people who had encounter! I been on back burner on my encounter cause didn't think someone would have a similar sighting!

LITS Reports, Research, Investigations and Findings

You may be wondering where I've been and what I've been up to.  Well, the title of this post should give you a hint.

I've received a number of reports and with each one, I investigate and research, looking to find a clue as to what the witness might have seen. 

Here's a breakdown of just some of the reports and what I've concluded, thus far.:

Bright light in southwest sky (viewed for up to 1 hour).  Conclusion: Venus.

Bright Flash on horizon (Austin).  Conclusion:  Exploding transformer.

Several reports of Bright Object moving across sky in straight line trajectory.  Conclusion:  International Space Station.

Triangle of strobing lights (1 red, 1 green with trailing white flashing light).  Conclusion:  Airplane

Daytime video of cloaked, elongated object.  Conclusion:  Unknown at this time; still under investigation.

Transparent Orb with swirling nucleus.  Conclusion:  Unknown at this time; still under investigation.

I've also received several reports where the witnesses never got back with me, or stated they have photos, drawings, etc., but have never sent them in.



I read and consider each report.  If I have the answer, I will respond with the information.  If witnesses give me only a bit of information and then do not respond to my requests (answers to my questions), I must assume that the reports weren't serious.


Here are some helpful hints when you think you're seeing a UFO.:

If it is a bright light in the sky that seems to be stationary, yet is moving very slowly up from the horizon, or down towards the horizon, check a star map.  It probably is Venus, or a bright star, such as Arcturus.


If you see a bright light in the sky that seems to be moving all over the place, divert your eyes towards another point of light, while observing the object light using your peripheral vision.  If the object light does not appear to be moving when using this technique, it probably is just a star.

Never direct laser pointers at suspected or known aircraft.  If it is an airplane, you could blind the pilot and besides, doing so is against the law!

If you do see something that appears to be of alien origin, there is no sense in attracting it's attention.  Such acts can end you up in a bad situation (abduction, physical harm, etc.).

Never go sky watching alone, especially in a desolate area.

Take photos and/or video of the object(s) but be sure to incorporate surroundings in some of the shots.  This gives perspective and reference points.

Report your sightings.  When you do so, please specify when, where, what; how long the observation lasted; what direction you first saw the object; whether the object traveled or remained stationary; how the object moved and how it disappeared from your view.  Also give your name and a phone number where you can be reached and a time to call, just in case I feel more questions are necessary.  I do not post, nor share personal information.

When you see something you can't identify and you have checked your star map app (mobile apps are available), or checked the NASA Space Flight schedule, please report it.  I may be busy but not too busy to check out your reports!

Witnesses Observe Bright Blue Lights On Two Craft Near George West, Texas- 10/21/2013

I received a report from LITS South Texas Lead Investigator, Connie Churchill.   In that report, a witness observed 2 circular (disc?) craft with large, bright blue lights. which were also seen by other witnesses.

The objects/lights appeared to hover about, over pasturage near a ranch house.

This event occurred  3 miles north of George West, Texas.

Report:
The witness pulled into a local roadside business and was surprised to see a large horizontal ring of bright blue lights across the road behind her. It was as large as the ranch house behind it. Each of the large blue lights shone steadily. The ring hovered low as the witness watched for several minutes kicking up dust under it, as it wandered the open pasture (an area covering 5 acres or more.)

The witness got back in her car and drove west for another advantage spot. The ring of lights hovered about the front pasture and the witness drove back to parking lot and snapped 2 photos with her cell phone. On the third attempt to photograph, her phone crackled and went black, leaving her with the impression the craft 'zapped' it with an apparent light flash in her direction.

Later, we realized that none of the photos came out.

After watching a while longer, the witness noticed two men working on a boat just a few doors down. She drove there and the 3 watched together, even standing on a vehicle to get a better look at the objects.

During the sighting another identical ring of blue lights rose up from a creek bed, just behind the house on the property. Both of the objects hovered and changed their altitude within the fenced in pasture.

There was no sound coming from the objects.

The witnesses noticed no heat or vibration. There was however, a thrust of wind under the objects when they got closer to the ground.

The witness had a very clear, very close look at the objects moving as close as 50 yards near her.

A follow up investigation found no apparent disturbance to anything... soil, brush or trees within the sighting area of the crafts.

After watching for 2 hours, the witness reported that the blue lights turned white. It was just a short time later the three witnesses realized the objects had disappeared.

Final time: 11:30 pm.

Note: I was sent the photos that the witness took.  Something should have appeared in the photo, such as sky, background trees, etc.  However, the photos were completely blank, as if all data had been stripped.

In addition, on that same evening, a witness miles away near Fayette, Texas observed similar blue lights.  The lights were seen to be heading south.

A witness reports that while driving on Hwy 71 near Fayette, Texas, they and persons in another vehicle observed a circular (disc-shaped) object with white/blue lights.  The object appeared to be heading south.

Driving north on Texas highway 71 saw a strange circular shape with pulsing lights heading south hovering over 71, very low to ground only myself and one other car on highway we both slammed on breaks we both saw it was going south and going slow very strange shape didn't look like any kind of plane or anything circular lights around the outside bottom of the circle that were a burning white/blue. I was very amazed I didn't believe what I was seeing but it was there long enough to actually look at it and realise yes that's not a plane it's a UFO.

Light Over Three Rivers, Texas

I received this report through LITS South Texas Lead Investigator, Connie C.

Object: steady white intense light, larger than nearby Arcturus,steadily moving from the west to the east.
After a few seconds, it reached due south in the sky and turned to the north.
At this time the witness expected to see navigation lights, but did not.
The light actually started slowly blinking off and on for a total of 3 times as it moved north. After the third blink it never came back on. It just disappeared.

Total time of the sighting: 3-4 minutes.
Time: 10:15 pm Saturday night July 27th, 2013
Absolutely clear night after a heavy rainfall 3 hours earlier.
Three Rivers, Texas

Hello,
 This was Tuesday, July 16th 2013 at approximately 8:15 pm. My wife and I were fishing in a pond near our house when my wife saw something in the sky.  She alerted me and I focused on the object, it was a pill shaped object, shiny white metallic in color. We were mesmerized by it, it moved smoothly and with purpose as it changed headings twice in the short time we watched it. It was about 8-10k feet in elevation, which is much lower than commercial craft will fly, it also moved slower than a traditional civilian prop aircraft. We were looking at the side of the craft initially, it was shaped like a pill, pretty much the same dimensions as your typical pill, just larger in scale. To call it cigar shaped would be erroneous, because it wasn't that long compared to the width and depth of the body. It had no visible wings, it was a delta shape, it had no tail or lights and it didn't make a sound. It was a clear blue sky, and the craft was reflecting the sunlight as it moved out of the north traveling south/southeast. It made a slow turn to the west, bringing perpendicular to our line of vision where we could see the craft from the "rear" view, it was a perfect circle. Again no wings, contrails, sound or anything resembling a recognizable airplane of any sort could describe this craft. We watched the craft for about 2-3 minutes as it changed course twice to finally vanish over the trees heading in a south east direction. At the elevation it was flying we would have definitely heard the engine as we have regular air traffic over our area due to Dover Air Force Base, multiple international airports in the region, crop dusters and civilian aircraft as well. We have never heard of this type of UFO, and your site was the only one we can find that had something similar. The gentlemen from the Bronx with the story on this site described exactly what we witnessed. Thank you for giving us a forum to tell our story, most of our friends think we're crazy now!

White Sphere Over Eastland, Texas, 6-25-2013

I had a personal sighting and here is the report.  The picture is a representation of what I saw.  I didn't have time to take a photo of the object.

Report:
It was 2:55 p.m. and we were just leaving Eastland, headed home on Hwy 112.  I was riding in the passenger seat and just happened to glanced out to the East. We were headed North and had just passed the airport.  It was then that I noticed something in the sky that made me do a double take.

When I first noticed it, the object looked similar to a small round cloud but focusing on the object, I realized it appeared solid, was white, round and had slightly fuzzy edges.  "What the heck?"  I said out loud.

I looked away for only a couple of seconds, prepared to see a puffy cloud but when I looked back, the object had completely disappeared.

I told my husband what I had just seen, pointing out other small clouds amid the wispy clouds in the sky.  The normal clouds lingered for some time and did not just disappear.

In retrospect, the object looked like a bright moon, in a bright afternoon summer sky.  The object was about the size of a nickle held at arms length.

The object I saw wasn't the sun, as the sun was much farther to the West.  It's something I can't explain.

The "Hum" In Central Texas - Cedar Park and Round Rock

Another report of the strange and annoying "hum" has come in, this time from Cedar Park, Texas.

We live in Cedar Park, which is not far from Round Rock, TX. I have been hearing a low rumbling, noise that sounds very much like the noises that are being heard in Round Rock, TX. I have asked my Mother many times, if she hears it, and she sometimes does and sometimes doesn't. It is always late at night between 11:00-2:00 when I hear it. I cannot pinpoint the exact area it is coming from because it seems to emanate from below the ground or in the sky. It is loud, constant and luckily I don't hear it in my bedroom, which is on the North side of the house (I hear the noises only outside on the South side of the house). I sure would like to know what is making these noises, if you find out please let us know.

As I stated in my previous report [Strange Sounds and Vibrations In Round Rock], these sounds seem to be heard by only a select few, apparently by people who are sensitive to low frequency sound waves.  

Sounds can travel through gases (air), liquids (oceans), and solids (Earth).  To learn more, read How Sound Travels,

Could these sounds and vibrations be due to mere highway noise?   The cause of this phenomena is yet unknown.  Let's work together and find out!  -Sunny

Photograph Of 'Something' At The San Antonio International Airport... What is it?

I received these photos and report from a man who on May 2, 2013 at 6:30 AM, drove past the San Antonio, Texas Airport and took photos of the morning sky. 
I've tried to determine if the object in the photos could possibly be a reflection... but of what?  There are no structures of this sort in the area, nor lights to match.

This was all by accident I got these pictures. I was trying to get the picture for the view and bam there it was. I was driving while taking this, so I wasn't paying much attention. I can't explain it. Help?

Those pictures were over san antonio airport, sorry forgot to mention that. I know I couldn't have been the only one it was about 630am give or take.

No other structures of any nature. I to was thinking maybe a reflection as well. But if you look at the picture with lights on it, it seems to be almost the same distance from the tower...I just can't see that being a reflection. Weird is all I can say.
