Unusual Activity Near Gilmer, Texas

I received an email from a witness (near Gilmer, Texas), who has been noticing some unusual activities in the night sky, including strange trumpeting and booming sounds.
Here is that report.  There will be updates.

We live in East Texas, close to a small town called Gilmer. Starting late 2011 we started seeing a flashing light in the sky. It comes from all around you in the sky. It is diffuse, you can’t see it straight on. It seems to come from your peripheral vision. Sort of like a flash blub going off behind you. You do not see where it comes from. When they first started they were faint and at first we wondered if we were really seeing them. Then they stopped for a while. When they restarted they were a bit stronger and have become stronger over the course of the last several months.

The next things we noticed is the traffic noise with the trumpets. We started hearing it on and off in early 2012 and asked a few neighbors about it. The neighbors have not heard it and said it was probably from the highway 3 miles down the road. We live in the country and the highway they are talking about is a two lane non busy country road. This road is never as busy as it would have to be for us to hear this kind of noise and the trumpeting sounds would have to be several large trucks putting on their breaks and horns all at once. So we are pretty sure it is not from the highway. We have been living here since 2009 and had never heard it before 2012.

Next we are seeing what look like very very bright LED flashes from very high up in the sky. We started seeing those about the middle of 2012. Sometimes they start small and get larger and sometime they are large and get smaller. When we see them they will flash then wait 3-7 seconds then flash one to two more times. Sometimes the second and third flashes are in the same spot and sometimes they are a short distance from where they are first seen. They don’t move from place to place but look like when they leave they shoot straight up from directly above you.

The next thing is the booms. We started hearing them hear about the middle of 2012. Sometimes they sound deep like a canon going off and there will be anywhere from 1-5 of those and can be from all the same direction or from several different directions. Sometime the booms are not as deep and may be rapid and as many a 10-15 or so at a time.

Next are the green flashes they stared a about 6 months ago. Sometimes they come from the same area of the sky and are very bright and distinct and other time they seem more like the diffuse flashes only with a green tint. At first we thought that maybe it was a strange type of lightening and maybe that is what it is. But there is never any thunder.

I personally have seen other things but am only writing to you about those things others have seen or heard at the same time I was seeing or hearing them. I am just wondering if anyone else is seeing any of these things.

Unidentified Object in Sky Over Granbury, Texas

I received an email from a friend in Granbury, Texas.  Here is his report.

Hi Sunny,
 
At 5:20 am, on the morning of Sunday, February 24th, I witnessed a UFO that appeared to be a satellite at first. I was observing a white light traveling East to West, when it slowly changed into a red light and became engulfed in flames. I saw white hot, red and orange embers flying off of this glowing red object. As though it were a fireball meteor (Bolide).

The UFO made a hard, sharp turn to the South and slowly returned to the original dull white light. Then approx. three seconds later, a massive bright Pink light flared up from the object, and I had to block the blinding light from my eyes. The object began to speed up, leaving a pink trail in the sky.

Five seconds later, another bright flash of light and a colored streak in the sky.  This time it was a brilliant red and the UFO was picking up speed. Still heading due South and flying very high up in altitude.

Twelve seconds later, a bright flash of purple light and a matching colored streak.

The final flash of light and streak, was a beautiful Sapphire Blue and very low on the horizon. At about 25 seconds after the purple flash.

By this time the UFO appeared to be traveling at the same speed, at which it made entry into our atmosphere. Definitely under intelligent control, appearing to follow a purposeful flight. I could also hear a faint thruster sound in the sky, many seconds after the first three flashes of light. The final blue flash and streak was evidently too far away for me to hear.

I heard on the radio, that several witnesses called in to report seeing brilliant colored streaks of light in the East Texas skies. Around 2:30 AM, Wednesday the 27th. I believe they saw the same ship. Not some Chinese rocket falling back to Earth, as reported by NORAD and NASA.

I was completely blown away by this two minute event and stood there for several minutes, collecting bugs with my mouth! This spaceship was absolutely amazing and acted like it was picking up satellites, or something like that. Flew with complete impunity and acted like it had done this before.

This object was spotted directly above my house in Granbury.

I was not going to report this. I fear sounding crazy however I was told it should be reported. So here goes. On night of 12/19/12 I was sitting on my couch talking on my cell phone to my dad. He lives in Co. It was 11:33 pm. As we were talking I was facing a nw window over dinning rm table. All of the suddin the dinning rm had a bright red light shining in through slats of blinds which were closed a the light shone so bright it lit up dining rm. I was trying to figure out what it could be. So I wS half listening to my dad and more focused on this light. Thenn the back door close to kittchen between dining rm. started to shake violently and the knobb started to rattle very fast. We have a metal door...btw. Then I heard my dog who is a big dog half great dane half yellow lab ran onto back porch. What I haerd next still sends shiberd up my spine. I heard groweling, then I heard this horrible noise..inhuman horrible loud sounnd I just can not describe. With my dad still on the phone I screamed. Threw the phone and . I ran into my bf and my bedroom. Now mind you I screamed so loud I lost my voice for 4 days after. I stood over him screaming and he didnt wake up. Finally I jumped on him and he woke up. I didnt knw how to explain to him what had happened so I just told him someone was trying to break in. He grabed his shot gun. As we walked out of room i noticed light was gone and no noise. I pucked up ph. to hear my dad repeating hello? I told him same thi.g I told my bf . He told me to call police. I did. Our dog was on back pourch when we looked out kitchen window. Mike wenr out and metal dog food bowl had been moved in front of back door. The police arrived and could not find anything. But the cop said something strange. said he talked to our neighbor #60 and they had seen lights over our direection. We li e in country. After he left we could not figure out what he was talking about. My bf thought he had said he wad g doing 60 mph and talked to a neighbor. we heard different things. Anyway there is no #60 out here anyways. After all commotion we went to bed. One more important point our dog would not come back onto back pourch. Next night after my bf got hm from work he asked where the dogwas I said I thought he was out thete. We went looki.g for him. We found him and haf to force him onto baack pourch once in the house we noticed doig haf scratches and burn makrks on his nose. Then bf went on back pouch and came in and said the door is dentteddented I saidd yeah right. I went out and there were wave like dents in the door. He said what ever had fought with dog had to have been big. Thatd whenn I told him bout light and noise. I am sorry for this typing doing this on my cell ph. not very easy. ty for considering this.

Report:
Between 6:45-6:50 am on 12/7/12 I saw a huge flash of white light that seemed to be at ground level as I was driving to work. It was big enough that I instinctively hit my brakes thinking something was coming at me. Once the car was stopped I looked all around me and did not see the source of the light or any activity in the area that could have been the cause. I then looked to the sky and still saw nothing except for a pretty sunrise. My car window was all the way down and there was no sound to go with the light. I started driving again and continued to look for the source in the immediate area and found none. I then thought it might have come from one of the refineries along 225 and looked there once I got to the freeway. Again, I saw no sign of what could have caused the light. I promptly forgot about the situation until a few hours later when a friend posted an article about it on Facebook. On that thread another person and I started talking about how we both saw the light at the same time. She also thought it was at ground level and not from the sky. The posted article stated that "experts" were claiming the flash came from a meteor. The other person that was posting that she saw it was almost 40 miles away from me in Richmond, TX (near Cinco Ranch, TX she said) when she saw the same flash of light.

Explosion in NW Louisiana not a meteor, or ammo explosion

There is a coverup going on in Louisiana and it appears to be on the scale of the Roswell conspiracy.

Monday, October 15 at 11:30 p.m., an explosion rattled the small town of Minden, in Webster Parish, Louisiana. Before the explosion, witnesses report seeing lights and flashes in the sky, including low flying fighter jets.   One witness saw a strange craft and reported it to MUFON.  That report is included below.

Local Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton said, "Definitely had something happen."  He added, " that all the explosion manufacturing facilities and natural gas facilities in Webster Parish are ruled out as a cause."

The local meteorologist goes on to refute the meteor theory, saying, "Checking with the National Weather Service, if it were a meteor, and yes we are in a meteor shower period, the Orionids, but I don't think there would be a piece of that, that would make it to the earth without vaporizing.  But if it did, radar did not pick up a streak, which it normally would."

He goes on to say, "But, we had an eye witness report who left her home in Dixie Inn, to drive to find whatever it was that hit and she reported ashes falling onto her car but they were heavy enough that they sounded like small hail. The weather service did confirm right after that explosion, their radar picked up what would be called a low cloud, or a debris field."  He also states that the radar picked the debris up, through four revolutions.

With the dawn of a new day, Tuesday morning, October 16th, the coverup had begun. The story now is that a bunker exploded at local military munitions plant (Camp Minden), despite the previous statements made by the Sheriff, ruling out the possibility of a munitions explosion.

An anonymous photographer captured aerial footage of the aftermath, which clearly shows 2 impact points, debris and an idle train that was also impacted and blown over. Despite what the claims are, the train was not moving at the time. The video is evidence of that as well.

was outside cleaning out pickup truck, walked toward porch, bright blue light caught my eye, stopped and watched as craft flew from over house toward NW. ran inside, got my wife, but it was gone. hours later, heard loud boom, shook house, news channel reports the same in 40 or so mile raius of my house. NWS reports debris cloud, and debris plume of mile high around dixie inn louisiana. drew as detailed a picture as i could. did not scare me, no terrifyinf feeling, glow was almost warm in nature.

I am hoping that someone has an idea what this might be. We have goats and milk at night. So we are outside walking and forth from the barn.

We have for a few mths been seeing what we are calling big flashes and little flashes of light. There are two of us and have seen them at seperate time. We had not talked about it until last night when we went to sit outside together and watch the stars. Something we do not usually do.

The flashes that we call the big flashes are like seeing a flashbulb go off behind you. You don't see a direct flash. It's like a big flash went off the brightens the whole sky all around you but you don't really know where it came from. We saw about 10 to 12 of them last night.

The small flashes are like a very distant but very bright flash bulb went off out in space. Very bright white concentrated light for less than a second. We saw it two different times last night. The first time if flashes 3 times about 30 seconds and 50 seconds apart in the same area. About 20 min later it did it 2 times right over head the flashes were about 20 seconds apart.

We have both seen these things in the past few mths but not while we were outside together so it never came up. The big flashes we thought might be our eyes playing tricks on us. Because if you are not actually looking up at the sky when it happens and it happens so fast the you wonder if you really saw something. But last night we would both say at the same time. "There it is." So we knew we were seeing it.

We live pretty far out into the country. We don't see lights from town. It's not spotlights because the big flashes are not concentrated to one area. They seem to come from all directions at once.

If anyone has any idea what this is please let us know.

We live in Upshur County, Texas. Between Ore City and Gilmer [location redacted].

Also I forgot to say we have looked up space debris and iridum flares on youtube and those are not what we saw.

We do see shooting stars and space debris out here but the flashes we saw were different.

I was watching the space station fly over since it was a clear night and as it passed over a light flashed 2 times immediately behind the space station. It was a brilliant white light with a blueish tint. A few seconds later it flashed a third time in the exact same spot as the first 2 flashes. I was on the phone with my wife who was 20 miles away and she seen them also. The lights appeared to come from farther out in space than the space station.

Yesterday June 20, 2012 I saw a very bright flash of a blue light that lit up the sky. It was very bright, I looked at head on. I was out playing basketball around 11pm when I saw it. I live in La Porte Texas.

Other witnesses: 2 others saw it not straight on but they caught it from the side.
Weather conditions: No storms pretty clear night.

appeared as a circular disc based on the arrangement of the lights I observed    

It was around 9:30 when I noticed a Light to the East at about 30 degrees above the horizon. when I first saw the light it was at around 45 degrees NE and appeared to be moving to the south. I Got my Sony camcorder from my vehicle, which was parked right behind me In the driveway and began recording at 9:29. I then proceeded to film the object for about five minutes or so. I estimate the object was around three miles, approximately from my location. it appeared to be on a steady course to the south as it moved across the sky and did not appear to be changing altitude as it traveled. At first there appeared to be four lights with one of them blinking but as the object moved to the south it began to display more lights. soon there were six lights,two of which were blinking,the color of the lights were blue, white, and green. soon there appeared to be eight lights with two of them blinking. the object continued on its southerly course. at around 9:32 a red blinking light appeared as the most forward light and a third blinking blue light appeared behind it on what looked to be the center of the craft.at this point it appeared as if there were four blinking lights total with the rear lights blinking at a different interval than the red a blue lights at the front of the object. The object was now at about 100 degrees E and still on a southerly flight path. the number of lights visible were still the same. The craft continued on its course to the south and I lost sight of it behind a bank of trees at around 180 degrees. the whole sighting lasted around five minutes.I had just finished parking my vehicle when I felt compelled to look to the north east, if I had not done so I would not have seen this object nor been able to film it. this is not the first sighting of unidentified objects I have experienced, I had submitted a video clip of a UFO sighting to MUFON already from a sighting I had in 2009. I was not excited so much as I was curious about the nature of the object.

Small green light fail from sky

I went outside on my back porch to smoke a cigg. I was talking with my husband and then right over my neighbors house I seen a small green light fall from the sky straight down. I waited for about 1 min. And then I turned to my husband and told him I just seen a small green light fall from the sky. He looked at me like I was crazy. I know what I saw. My husband and I got into our car and drove down the road to see if we could see anything. And of course there was nothing to be seen. The light I seen was light green it glowed kinda looked like a flare. It was falling downward. I never saw it again after driving back home.

2 Chevron Shaped Crafts

Sitting outside with a friend in East Dallas looking at the stars when my friend pointed out movement overhead. We observed an object about 1000 to 1500 ft above. What we saw could easily have been overlooked at first as it was emitting no light or sound. The object which was about the size of a plane, at first seemed triangular in shape but subtly changed in shape (kind of like mercury) to a boomerang appearance and at times ovular it was a dull grey color with a hazy mist and seemed to at times have a faint glow. We watched as the object moved NNW. 2 to 2 minutes later we observed a second boomerang-like object much more elongated and thin than the first. This object could have at first glance passed as a flock of birds flying in V formation however it was solid, emitted a low glow and was heading smoothly NNW as well.

this was a direct path ufo that obviousy left the atmosphere

an object, white no blinking lights was moving from north to south at an unknown altitude (probably 20000 ft) moved in a strait line then faded from sight in a clearly marked leaving the earths atmosphere pattern. This was a clear case of a vehicle leaving the planet, it was in the area of sky dominated by the orion constellation. as I reiterate it was plain that this object was definitely leaving the planets atmosphere. there was an airplane in the vicinity but I don't think it was connected in any way since that plane was probably at about 8-10 thousand feet

appeared to be a large and bright star or meteor falling downwards at extremely high speed, disappeared long before reached horizon

Driving southbound on 360 near six flags, I had noticed a few planes in the sky already. What looked like a very large and bright star appeared within my view while looking down the road and I watched it shoot downwards, coming from the upper atmosphere it seemed like. There was no trail behind it, despite its considerable size and if it was farther than it appeared than it could be even larger. I could immediately tell it was no airplane, and thought I might be seeing a shooting star or meteor.
The object did not break up at all or appear to get smaller, only moving in a downwards direction before disappearing completely well before it even got close to the horizon or any other obstacle that could have blocked my vision. My girlfriend sitting in the passenger seat exclaimed before I did, and we both confirmed we saw the same thing. It appeared as a solid white oval against the night sky and did not fade or shimmer out, just disappearing completely.

Exploding UFO Wakes Thousands in SC (Video)

A streaking flash of blue light, what many witnesses are calling a UFO, burst over the midnight skies of South Carolina early on Monday morning. What was it? No one really knows, but the object, caught on tape, has astronomers trying to allay fears in a nervous public.

The unidentified flying object was caught on a home security cam, reflected in the window of a parked car, and a nighttime sky camera which showed the UFO blasting through the sky trailed by a flashing tail.

Local astronomers were immediately consulted and tried to allay public fears by saying the OVNI was probably a comet or meteorite, even though such celestial phenomenon are usually well-known and expected by the time an object of this size burns up in the atmosphere.

Still, one local resident, interviewed by the local FOX affiliate in the video below, admits she was scared and wondered for just a moment if it was "aliens" attacking.

Loud Explosion, Lights In Sky Over Upstate Investigated

Local Astronomer Suspects It May Have Been A Meteor

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The National Weather Service and emergency dispatchers from across the Upstate say they got numerous calls overnight from people who heard a loud explosion that was followed by lights streaking across the sky.NWS staffers said they got a call from Greenville police around 2 a.m. They said after they started getting calls, they checked the security camera at the National Weather Service and saw a faint, barely recognizable flash of light at 1:42 a.m.

A NWS representative told News 4 it may have been a meteor, but that his agency does not investigate these events.NASA would be the source to confirm meteor activity. The agency has not yet returned a call to News 4.In Spartanburg County alone, dispatchers took about 75 calls, and reports are coming in from as far away as Lexington, N.C. and Carrollton, Ga.Firefighters with the Reidville fire department in Spartanburg County witnessed the light show first hand. They told News 4 it happened at about 1:55 a.m..Retired astronomer Doug Gegen did not see the light in the sky, but he said based on what he is hearing from everybody, it sounds like it was an unusual meteor."People saw a lot of lights in the sky, but what does that mean really? Well, it means that probably there was some kind of thing happening that was out of the ordinary," said Gegen.Gegen said the event was different than annual meteor showers such as the Leonids, which peak every November.

Cleveland County worker witnesses reported meteor explosion

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Chuck Jones awoke when he felt his house shake early Monday. The sound of a boom followed a tremor that shook his house around 1:30 a.m.

Jones, who works at Putnam Distributors in Patterson Springs, assumed the noise came from workers at a nearby rock quarry.

Jones said his brother called him around noon Monday. Quarry workers weren’t responsible for the tremors that rocked Jones’ home.

A meteor, which some experts say exploded, possibly did.

“I’ve watched meteors before on the science channel, but not here in South Carolina,” Jones mentioned.

Scientific experts are saying a meteor exploded above upstate South Carolina, causing the loud boom. Multiple media outlets reported residents seeing a bright flash of blue-white light at the same time. Locals took to Facebook, recounting the loud boom and describing the bright light.

No known injuries or damage had been reported as of Monday afternoon.

 “I didn’t see the light,” Jones said. “But the boom sounded like the crack of thunder.”

Phone calls to scientists and astronomical groups Monday weren’t returned in time for this story.

Jones admits he was shocked when his brother told him about the meteor explosion.

“I’ve watched meteors before on the science channel, but not here in South Carolina,” he said. “I’ve lived in Blacksburg for 54 years.”

Was a UFO in distress in the skies over New Mexico?

I had just awakened from sleep, rolled over to get my glasses, and happened to look out my North faceing window in my bedroom whenin the North sky over the mountains in the Gila Wilderness, there appeared an EXTREMELY bright, silvery, white light comeing in from above. The streak of light was not a straight streak like a meteor but had a wobble to it, like the object was spinning. It was EXTREMELY bright, like a stroke of lightning with with a slight silvery look about it. It was about the same width as a match head held at arms length. The total lingth of the path of light was approximately the width of two hands and seemed to slow down a bit the lower it got to the mountains.

At the end of its flight path, it ended in an EXTREMELY bright white flash, that lit up most of the mountain range just West of the Turkey Creek camp ground which is about 10 to 15 miles away from our trailer. About 1 minute later there was a brillient flash of light straight overhead and slightly to the North of our position. Where we live, we have a totally unobstructed view of the mountains of the Gila Wilderness.

Turkey Creek is well known locally as a UFO Hotspot as many lights of unknown origin have been seen in that area for several years. It is a quiet, remote area and requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle to safely get there. If more information is required, just let me know, and I will supply to the best of my ability.

Witness Reports Odd Behavior In Dogs, Flash Of Light, Disc UFO And Missing Time

Lithia Springs, Georgia- A police investigator reports that on May 15, 1995,  he and his dad noticed neighborhood dogs behaving oddly. 

Then father and son were knocked unconscious by a blinding flash of light, followed by seeing a disc-shaped UFO as it disappeared into a cloud.

They both soon realize they have experienced a lapse in Time.

On the night of the sighting, it was cool and nice outside. My step-mom was sitting in as bay window, with windows and blinds open, on our house watching TV in her and my dads room. My step-sister was sitting in the living room with the windows and the blinds open, both step-mom and step-sister letting the night air in. Both parties sitting next to open windows were on the same side of the sighting.

My father and I were located in my bedroom and were playing a video game. My blinds and window was also open due to the nice night. the air was cool and the skies were partly cloudy. As my dad and I were playing the game, we were disturbed by lots of neighborhood dogs barking and gathering in the street. The dogs were congregating near a light post located approximately 75 to 100 feet from my bedroom window and directly in front of the house. We paused the game and began watching the dogs. After a few minutes, my dad left the room and went to his room to retrieve a pair of binoculars to get a closer look at the dogs. I had a pair in my room and I retrieved mine as well. When my dad returned to my room, we turned the TV off to darken the room and began trying to focus on the pack of dogs.

The part of the whole ordeal seemed strange because some of the neighborhood dogs that were gathered would normaly not get along. We began to focus in on the dogs. We noticed the dogs were barking while looking up into the sky. We talked about why they might be behaving like this for a few moments then began to look towards the sky, to the right of the house, when all of the sudden a bright light from up above burst in through the window causing my father and I to fall backwards onto the floor.  Prior to the light, my dad and I were on our knees looking out the window. When we came to and regained our sight. We were laying on the floor next to each other. Now we both understand that our binoculars would have magnified the light, but I know the light was bright to begin with. I looked back out the window and caught a glimpse of a craft in the air that appeared to slowly floating away. The craft floated behind a cloud or into some type of fog and disappeared for good.

When we regained our composure, we went into the living room and said "did you see that" to my step sister. She stated "what are y'all talking about". We stated "the dogs and the bright light". She stated "no" and went back to watching TV. We left the living room and went to my dads room where my step-mother had been sitting in the bay window watching TV.  We asked her the same questions and she stated she had heard the dogs earlier but had not observed any type of flash or light.

My dad and I looked out the bay window real fast and realized that the dogs were gone. My dad and I went outside of the residence and walked to the neighbors house. The neighbor was outside working in and around his garage. We asked him if he had observed anything and he stated no. He did state that his dog had ran off earlier, but the dog had returned sometime earlier. After investigating the situation for sometime, my dad and I concluded that all the dogs that we had observed were back at their homes and that people had observed the dogs acting funny but had not observed the light.

The part of the incident that still puzzles my dad and I is the fact that what seemed to take a few seconds, like looking at the dogs, seeing the light and coming to on the floor had apparently taking some time because everyone stated they had observed and heard the dogs earlier but not recently when asked. We thought that the flash happened and a few seconds later we were up and asking about the incident. We don't remember the, as people stated "some time" went. The dogs had been home for "some time", we heard the dogs "earlier", we observed the dogs "earlier".  There is time missing and neither my dad or I remember what happened during the missing time.

P.S. I am an investigator at a local police department and this has puzzled my to this day.

Report:
My wife and I were at the new football staduim at James Madison University watching the game. It was the beginning of the third quarter, and there was no longer any sunlight in the staduim, but the setting sun was still shining above the horizon. My wife, looking up overhead, said "What's that" I observed a brilliant spherical object which appeared to be 1 cm to the naked eye traveled from south to north (right to left). When I noticed it, it was about 30 degrees right of reaching its closest point overhead. The object was totally silent, and left no visible trail such as smoke, debris or exhaust. There was no aura or any type of visible distortion of the light surrounding the object. From my 8 years experience as a Navy F-14 pilot with 1700 hours, I would estimate that the object was at an altitude of approximately 1000 feet above the ground, at an estimated speed of 600 - 700 knots, and would have an actual diameter of 10 to 15 feet. As the object was traveling away, it was observed to slightly vary its course from left to right and back, rather than follow a ballistic trajectory. This made it seem to me to be in to be in controlled flight. I was observing this very slight "sidewinder" motion as if looking from the rear of the object, rather than the underside, due to its relatively low altitude (i.e. If it were a jet I would have been looking up the tailpipe.) In about 5 seconds it passed out of sight beyond the top of the north side of the football stadium. I thought immediately that it was a controlled flying object which was neither civilian nor military. My wife was in awe and said "What WAS that?" I was quite elated, and said "That was a UFO!". I do not know if any of the other 25,000 people at the game saw this object, but I am quite sure that someone else must have seen it. If you draw a N -S line on a map or photo over JMU's football field, you will have the part of the trajectory which we observed. Outside at 9:00 pm I was outside thinking of putting Christmas lights up when I had the feeling to look up.Three disks in a triangle pattern flew over low to the ground,The had a orange glow to them.Shortly after 2 jets went by at the same height and looked military.Then 5 disks flew over and made a pattern.They were higher than the others.That's when 5 white orbs appeared and their was a disk with flashing lights on either side of the orbs evenly which could have made it one ship then 2 disks moved to the left each higher and evenly distanced and also went from glowing and when stopped flashing blue and white.My wife had joined me after yelling for her and seen the formation after they stopped.After about 3 minutes I ran for my camera and returned and they were gone.

Report:
While sitting in my yard stargazing looking SW towards the Gulf around 8:30pm. I was waiting and hoping for some meteor activity. I have noticed a lot (4 in a week) of shooting stars lately between sunset and 10pm.
It was a beautiful clear evening. I was looking at the same pulsing blue star that I have enjoyed for years when all of a sudden I saw a dim white glow about 15D SW of the blue star. I immediately switched my focus on that glow that gradually got brighter and brighter all while staying stationary. The glow got larger and brighter and then it flashed a brilliant white light that made me see spots as you would get from a camera flash at a short distance.
After the flash it dimmed and got smaller and then at amazing speed it either headed south or plunged down. My depth perception was affected by the flash, I had to rub my eyes to get full focus back.
I can only describe it as a lighthouse because of the way it faded in, flashed then faded out before it moved and disappeared. I have never seen a aircraft move as fast as this light did.
Being the skeptic that I am, I immediately tried to debunk what I just witnessed. I have ruled out every feasible possibility. My first thought was that it was a spotlight from a helicopter but the rate of speed ruled that out. Then I thought it could be a meteor, but since it did not move for 10-15 seconds and then move at such a fast rate of speed ruled that out as well. My other thoughts of what it was just seem to irrational to admit to.
It has been a week since the sighting and I have been watching the same area with nothing new to report. It was one of the few things that I can not explain.

Report:
I was driving my daughter to work at 6:50 am on 11/29/11. My daughter (19 years old) and I (54 years old) were initially drawn to lights in the sky. The lights were strange because they were exceptionally bright and looked different than normal aircraft lights. It appeared to be a bright light with smaller lights below it, I thought I could see a very small tail, like an aircraft, but the entire shape looked more round, however I could not clearly make out the shape, only the lights were very clear. Of course, I initially thought it was an aircraft just playing tricks with my eyes, but it then started rapidly moving in a horizontal direction and stop, then rapidly in a vertical direction and then stop. I don?t believe, nor have I ever believed in UFO?s, but I was completely baffled, (and a little freaked out) so I turned my vehicle in a way I could keep watching this object. It moved 6-8 times in these incredibly quick vertical/horizontal movements covering a distance that no aircraft could cover and then seem to stop in an instant. Both my daughter and I witnessed this. I eventually had to go by a very large building and when I came out from the building I could not find the object again. All I can say is that I can?t explain what I saw but it is something I won?t soon forget. Brian

Report:
I was in Roanoke VA to visit my family for the weekend and had gone out to my mother's front yard to smoke a cigarette and get some things from my car approximately around 9pm. It was an exceptionally clear night, and i had not trouble seeing many stars as well as aircraft. As soon as I walked out the front door I looked directly ahead approximately NW at an elevation of approximately 24 degrees towards the top of read mountain which was visible between the trees and the neighbor's house across the street.

My attention was immediately directed to a light or cluster of lights that appeared to be just over the top of Read Mountain by a couple hundred feet at best. The best guess at the distance (with my brothers help as well as google maps) was about 2000 ft from where I was standing. From my vantage point you could hold a tablet of aspirin flat at arms length and it would just fit in between the mountain and the lights. The lights were unusually bright for a plane or any other aircraft that I've witnessed, and seemed larger than they should be for the distance. They were flashing and brighter than any star in the same area of the sky, as well as any plane, of which there were many, but certainly not at that low of an elevation. Additionally, there were no planes in that particular part of the sky. They all were off to the east and west flying overhead from E to W, and at no less an elevation of 85 degrees compared to the 20-24 of the lights. It was very clear to me that it was some sort of motionless CRAFT, not a star, street light (it was in the air over a mountain with NO lights) or any other common occurence. I am currently 29 years old, mentally sound, and spend a great deal of time looking at the sky.

The most notable color was a bright VIVID red, which was the first thing that struck me as odd. As I watched for a moment the colors flashed between red, orange, yellow, and white... possibly pale blue, but from the distance it was hard to tell subtle differences in color variation.

I decided to walk up the driveway to the street to my car, thinking it nothing more than unusual. I lit a cigarette and walked down the street till the lights were in view again. From there I had a more clear vantage point than before. The lights were still present and did not appear to move at all, I attempted to hold up my thumb for a reference for size and to gauge the motion, if any, of the lights. I took notice of no discernible movement of the object. I watched the lights attempting to pick out any sort of pattern to the flashing and changing of color, but could not.

I currently live in Brooklyn, NY. I spend a lot of time on my roof at night watching the planes and stars as well as through my windows. Directly over my apartment is a main air traffic pathway and am accustomed to seeing many different types of aircraft and watch their light patterns intensely. To my knowledge there is ALWAYS a very simple pattern to them, and this set of lights that I saw were flashing fairly quickly and at random, save of course if it just happened to be a very LONG sequence.

I stood and watched the object intently for another 2 minutes or so, when my attention was drawn by another plane passing overhead, quite audibly. I looked away for no more than 10 seconds, and when I looked back to the lights, they were simply gone. After 5 minutes of being essentially motionless, they were just gone. Like someone had unplugged a Christmas tree. I said out loud "Oh, you've GOT to be f****** kidding me..."

I stood in the same place attempting to locate them for another 5 minutes, looking all around in the sky... nothing.

At the time, I wasn't at all sure what I had seen. I went back in the house and told everyone about it. It made enough of an impression that I mentioned it, which is in itself unusual. We talked about it for a couple of minutes and then it faded out of conversation.

Just last night I received a call from my eldest brother and mother. One week from the night I saw the lights, and around the same time, they had returned. Both my mother and brother saw them, her from her house and my brother from his. My mother had the longer and more detailed account. The three of us spoke on the phone about it for about half an hour and cross referenced each others sightings. As best as we could tell it was the same or at least similar object in roughly the same location. Her report is on file currently on this very same website, and I urge you to read it. "Long description of sighting report" is the title. It is listed under Roanoke, VA on October 21st. Though it wasn't her first sighting, this is both of our first times reporting the matter. This is my first sighting.

Report:
I was driving home from my evening job about 11:30pm on 10-19-11. I turned into Pocoshock Dr. from Hull Street Road and about 100 ft after turning in, suddenly everything illuminated with a blueish white light that continued for what seemed about 3 seconds. It was almost as if a light switch had been turned on. I could not see or figure out what was causing such a bright light. There are mature trees on either side of the road so it was difficult to see a large enough portion of the sky. My thoughts were, "Are we being attacked? Is this an explosion?" I braced for a bang but then the night blackness resumed--followed quickly by a flash over the tree tops to my right and then whatever the source it was gone. I did not see any indication of a UFO craft--just the amazingly bright light that I described. I immediately rolled down my windows to listen for thunder--but there was nothing but silence.

I thought at the time that surely lightening that bright and low as to illuminate such a huge area would cause a big bang--but again there was nothing but silence. There were no other cars traveling on the street that could have been shining bright halogen headlights at me. I pulled over on Dell Drive on the Surreywood Subdivision side where I could safely stop and I looked out the car window for signs of storm clouds or for a search helicopter--but neither existed. The sky was silent and filled with wispy clouds--but no storm clouds that I could see.

I was very puzzled, but surprisingly calm. The odd light had been so bright that my eyes slightly ached at the back of my eye balls--but strangely I did not see spots in front of my eyes as would be typical when a bright light was shined in your face. This was definitely a very unique occurrence and has kept me thinking about it and researching similar reports on the internet. I have shared the experience with my family and co-workers--who have listened kindly and considered the event odd as well.

Preliminary Report:

I met with the main witness and his wife at their home and conducted an interview with the couple.  They both seem well educated and were very cordial.

Before setting up the equipment for the evening's "stakeout", the witness showed me hotspot areas around and near his home, locations where unknown objects and lights have been witnessed.

Throughout the investigation, there seemed to be ebbs and flows of electrical and magnetic fields, in and around that location.  Also noted, my compass and the one owned by the witness would not settle on Magnetic North, the needles swinging back and forth,  from Northwest to Northeast and back.

Weather Conditions (at beginning of evening observations):

Temperature: 82°;   Dew Point: 43°;   Humidity: 25%;
Barometric Pressure: 29.97 inches;    
Visibility: 10mi;   Ceiling: Unlimited
Winds: 0mph;   Gusts: None;    
Sky: Few Scattered Clouds, cloud banks to our North, Northeast and East.
Moon- Waxing Gibbous, bright.

Observations:

7:50 p.m.- I already had a video camera set on a tripod and had focused it it.  Suddenly the video lost focus.  The witness and I could see in the distance towards Sherman, Texas, a white light that appeared in the sky, moving very quickly to the East/Southeast, approx. 10 degrees above the horizon.  Without stopping, this light reversed it's course, headed back the way it came and dispappeared.  We saw this 3 times in less than 90 seconds.

7:55 p.m.- The largest meteor I have ever seen, came slowly from the Southeast, headed Northwest over our heads, then just disappeared in front of us.  The meteor must have had a high copper content, as it was white and brilliant green in color.  It was spectacular!  Observation time, 3 seconds.

8:20 p.m.- An orange light appeared to our Northeast, approx. 20 degrees above the horizon.  It was coming towards us, then veered South.  No navigational lights, or beacons were detected.  There was no sound as this object passed overhead, slightly to our East.  As it moved away from us, the light never varied, remaining an intense orange. Observation time, 3 minutes.

9:30 p.m.- Suddenly an orange light appeared to our North/Northwest, approximately 5 degrees above the horizon.  We were both using binoculars and could see this object changing it's appearance.  I asked the witness what he was seeing and he confirmed through statement, that the object appeared first as an orb, then as an elliptical shape, then as a cigar and finally a saturn-like appearance.  All the while this object was getting brighter and larger.  I attempted to take video and photos but neither camera would focus on this object.  The cameras would focus on everything else but not this object, which was at least from our vantage point, 4 times the size of Venus at it's brightest. 9:35 p.m.- As suddenly as it appeared, the bright orange light to our North/Northwest disappeared, like turning off a light switch.  In less than 30 seconds a cold wind blasted us both.  Both the witness and I felt something akin to an electrical charge, a static electricity on our faces, arms, our whole bodies.  I looked up but could see nothing but clear sky and stars, though it felt like something had just flown over us, in close proximity.  The video camera had shut itself off.  [2]  Observation time, 5 minutes.

9:45 p.m.- Two brilliant white lights are seen (by me), in front of the treeline, treetop level and to our north, directly below where the second orange light had been observed.  These lights flash on, then off, once. Observation time, 2 seconds.

10:05 p.m.- A bright white light appeared in the East (65° AGL), headed Northwest.  No navigation lights, no beacon, no sound.  white light remained constant as it came and went.  No variance.  Observation time, 1 minute.

10:45 p.m.- Observed airliner flying West to Southeast (70° AGL).  While watching the airliner through binoculars, both the witness and I observed a pinpoint of light flash quickly below the aircraft (East to West) and disappear.  The aircraft continued on it's route. [3]


[1] I am assuming that the light seen Between 9:30 and 9:35 p.m. was located over, or near the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.  Please refer to map.

[2] The video camera was left on, no one touched it but me.  I left in on, in hopes it would capture the object but it did not.

[3] Though the location is in the approach and departing air traffic control space of DFW airport (North), there was surprisingly little air traffic.

Special Note:  There is more information that I cannot reveal at this time, concerning this case.  This is an ongoing investigation.  I plan to return to this location soon.  After examination, I will post photos within the next few days.

I received an email from another witness who wrote:

I was driving through Sherman, Texas on Thursday, Sept 8th 2011 and spotted two large bright lights far to the south and slightly west. At first glance they appeared to be stars, or Jupiter, or some solar body.  However, they were too large and too bright to be either.  The two lights slowly moved apart from each other over a period of about 5 minutes.  Then the larger of the two completely vanished.  About two minutes later, the slightly dimmer object vanished.  These were not aircraft, and I'm not saying they were ET ships.  Just a sighting I cannot explain.  There was another witness in the vehicle with me to confirm what I had seen.  Any similar reports on this incident? I'm curious, and just looking for an answer as to what I saw.

At 3:51am I saw a very bright light in the eastern sky. It burned out very quickly.

At first I thought it was lightning because it lit up my yard for an instant. I heard no sounds.

The light was white and suddenly appeared like an explosion or like a light bulb when it burns out - getting brighter then it is gone. 

It did not appear to be a meteorite or falling star.

Witness contact FI [name redacted] on August 27, 2011 via email. I, [name redacted] FI 10332, am submitting his account as this could be a crashed or a landed UFO.

Last night(8/26/2011) I was outside locking my truck up and my neighbor told me about an extremely bright beam of light shining through a window in her house that she noticed through her curtains about 30 minutes prior to my walking outside. Initially, I tried to ignore her, which is typically easy since her house is about 50 yards from my own and upon a small hill. However, she just wouldn't stop trying to get me to check it out from her vantage point so I walked up to her house and sat out on her 2nd story deck waiting for the lights to reappear. I didn't see anything for several minutes but in the mean time I noticed a dozen planes fly over the area in a matter of about 5 minutes; which to me is an unusually high amount of air traffic, as I frequently "star gaze". Sure enough though after several minutes I, too, saw this incredible, bright flash of a greenish-blue color. No beam, just a super bright flash that went away in seconds. After seeing this flash two more times in orange and white, my brother, neighbor, and myself decided to drive through our small town to see if we could get a closer look. Upon arriving at a local gas station approximately 1 mile away we noticed one police officer and a HAZMAT coordinator(who is also the chief of the fire dept.) looking at the same light that was now more than a mere flash. The lights were now located across the valley and about halfway up a small ridge, only accessible by an old logging road, and it had become six to eight smaller flashing lights which were red,blue, green and white and aligned in what looked like a semi-circular pattern.There was also a small amount of smoke coming from the scene, but not as much as you would typically see from a brush fire; and the amount of smoke also fluctuated with time. We asked the officers what they thought it could be and the HAZMAT guy said "no power lines had been reported down by KU" and "he wasn't sure", while the uniformed policeman jokingly said, "maybe it's E.T. with a blow torch". Both of which seemed to be more than a little stumped by this situation. There were also 6 other people who we talked to that confirmed the bright flashes. For the next 2 1/2 hours the three of us sat in the parking lot of this gas station and kept our eyes fixated on these lights which were now randomly flashing the colors i mentioned, but were dimming and then emitting powerful beams into the sky and through the trees in all directions periodically, and even went completely dark on 3 or 4 occasions. There was also a clearly audible "humming" sound coming from the area, that made more of a "wah-wah-wahhh" sound. There were power lines stretching in front of the lights that were completely visible due to the bright flashing of the lights and they appeared to be intact.The strangest thing to me though was we could spot a single light traveling up the logging road, which took about 30 minutes to get from the bottom of the hill to around the vicinity of these brighter lights, but before this light could get all the way up there, it promptly turned around and came back down in a matter of minutes. Dogs were also barking incessantly through this whole experience. After the lights finally quit flashing about 3 hours in, the lights went totally dark for about 20 minutes, at which time all the other spectators left, and then a single small,white light reappeared that was too bright to look at directly without causing pain or discomfort. We witnessed all of this through a pair of binoculars but due to the trees on the hill side the only thing we could clearly see was the colors and pattern of the lights. The police came back several hours later and told us it was, "in fact", a downed power line that had been arching and causing the bright flashes. Soon thereafter a KU truck came by, circled a short back road off KY-38, and left again without fixing this alleged down power line.

Also, this morning(8/27/2011) at about 9:00 am while on my way to class at the local community college I saw four KU trucks parked at different spots on KY-38, just parked there, sitting with no one doing any kind of work to power lines. Only a single person in the truck, the driver. Also in the gas station parking lot were two white Ford pick up trucks with the standard diamond shaped NFPA chemical hazard label, unfortunately, I did not think to stop by and take down the numbers within the diamond. There were so many things about this situation that didn't make sense to me and cause me to question it all. Here are a few of my most relevant questions:

Can a downed power line create a beam of light so bright that it can be seen in a house through the curtains, one mile away?

If it were a transformer that exploded, would it not create a single bright flash of a single color and then go dark? Why would the lights continue to reappear and go black?

Why would several blinking lights consolidate into one solid light?

If it was a downed power line, and KU knew about it, wouldn't they be obligated to fix the problem immediately? It could have potentially caused a forest fire.

In this area, small storms cause localized blackouts frequently, yet there was no blackout to be seen anywhere near this downed power line or blown transformer. Why?

What was the loud humming sound?

Why would KU trucks be parked on the side of the road, but not have anyone working on the power lines?
