UFO Confrontation Over Mansfield, Ohio, 1973

On October 18, 1973, four military helicoptor crewmen had a dangerous encounter with a cigar-shaped UFO, over Mansfield, Ohio.

The UFO shown a green beam of light onto the helicopter as it descended, in an attempt to avoid a collision. At 1700 feet AGL, the helicopter was stopped in it's descent and lifted back up into the air, stopping at an elevation of about 3800 feet, where the alien craft held it firmly in place, apparently scanning the helicopter.

Meanwhile, the DeLong family was driving on the outskirts of Mansfield, when they saw the encounter between the helicopter and the UFO.  They were interviewed 3 years later.

Twenty years later, Detective John Healy, one of the helicopter crewmen, stepped forward with his account of what had transpired.  The encounter was re-enacted on the popular paranormal documentary TV series, "Sightings".  The episode "UFO over Mansfield, OH" originally aired on 11/13/1994.

Documentary: The Westall UFO Encounter

For approximately 20 minutes on April 6, 1966 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, at approximately 11.00 a.m., over 200 students and teachers at two Victorian state schools observed a flying disc, which hovered, then descended into a nearby open grass field. The field was near a grove of pine trees in an area known as The Grange, which is now a nature reserve. As some students raced to follow the object, it then ascended in a north-westerly direction, flying over the suburb of Clayton South, Victoria, Australia.

One student, a young girl, collapsed as she approached the landed craft.  She was later whisked away from the scene, never to be seen by other students again.

After the encounter, teachers were threatened not to say anything about the "flying saucer".  There was a cover-up and the sighting was seldom mentioned, until now.

Referred to as Australia's Roswell, The Westall UFO Encounter goes into the history books as one of the largest and most important mass sightings of our time.

The Odessa Event, 1973 - Witness Testimony

I recently had the pleasure of talking with a witness to an event, which occurred in Odessa, Texas, in the summer of 1973 (39 years ago).

Mr. Stanley Wilson sent me a CD, with his verbal testimony, of he and family members witnessing a disc-shaped UFO, which hovered over a radio tower for more than an hour.

That event should have been investigated in 1973 but it wasn't.  It should also have made the UFO history books... but it didn't.  And that is a shame.

I listened to Mr. Wilson's audio testimony, spoke with he and his wife and have transcribed his testimony.  I present it here in it's entirety.  The recording was too long to post here, so I will attempt to do so at a later date.

Begin transcription:
This is Stanley Wilson, the date is the sixth month, 21st day, 2012.  I am sixty years old. This is also Georgia's birthday, my sister.

I wanted to tell everything that occurred with UFOs in 1973, that I can recall.  I just want and record of it before I die and it's for whoever is interested in listening to the truth.  I am a Christian, so I am not gonna lie about anything. 

It started in 1973, there was a flap going on.  A flap is a concentration of UFOs moving across the country.  And in this case they were moving across the southern United States.  The best I remember from the east to the west.  And you can get on the computer and check that out, you'll find out there was a flap in 1973.

The first event was a UFO, what they call a mother-ship and I refer to it that way because it was huge.  My grandma, which is my daddy's momma, Minnie Windham, she lived on the west side of town and I had worked real hard that day for the State Highway Department and she called and I was taking a nap.  My wife answered the phone and she told Judy, my wife, "Tell Stanley to go outside and look, there's a UFO heading y'alls way."

And before I forget it, let me say, everything concerning this UFO was in the daylight, no clouds, best I recall in the summer.

So I leaned up on the bed and told Judy, "Grandma Windham ain't much on teasing, so I guess I better go look."

I went outside, I looked to the north, I didn't see anything, I looked to the... toward Odessa, east and I didn't see anything.  I looked south, I didn't see anything.  But when I looked west, there was a tower about 1 mile from our house.  And, but on above the radio tower, just a little ways above it, sitting stationary, was a huge UFO.  We were about a mile from it, I didn't see any windows or doors, which would have been the eastern side of the UFO.  No noise.

So me and Judy are looking at it in the yard and my big sister, which is Georgia,  her and her husband Jim Hess, came running around the corner in their car real fast, hollering out the window, "Do you see it?  Do you see it?  Do you see it?!"  And we're saying "Yeah", and they whooped up in the yard.

So we're all four standing there and looking at this huge UFO.  And uh, I said you know that might might be a radio tower, I didn't know but I said it might be and my wife's 65 Malibu was sitting over there in the yard, front yard.  I went over there and turned the radio on and I located a station called KBZB and I the best I remember, it was a country station.  They were reporting live, on the radio that they have a UFO above their tower, causing static.  You can hear the static through the car radio as he's talking.

So I went in the house and got on the phone, cause back then there wasn't no cell phones and I called the radio disc-jockey and I got him and I talked to him, 'live' on the radio station and everybody was listening to it, whoever listens to  KBZB.

And I said that UFO that your talking about, we're looking at it.  And they could hear me talking to him, outside. they were still listening to the radio and they could actually hear me through the car radio, talking to him.

Well, in a little bit I got off the phone, went back outside and we all four stood there, watching the UFO.  And it wasn't making any kind of sound.

Well,  me and Jim Hess decided we'd go try to get closer to the UFO.  We told Georgia my sister and my wife Judy, to stay in the yard, that way, make sure they're safe.  And me and Jim took off and started going all over them little dirt roads out there.  There wasn't hardly anybody that lived out there then.

By the way, before I forget it, I did run to my neighbor's house and try to get a camera but they weren't home.  I didn't own one. If you wanted to get a portrait, you just went to Gibson's.  They had a portrait studio.  So we didn't get a picture of it.

And anyway, me and Jim's running out there all over them dirt roads, we can't locate the road that goes to it, so we go back to the main highway, which is 42nd.  And we start heading out towards 866.  We weren't very far from 866 when we turned north on a little dirt road that goes to the radio tower.

Well, when we first got on the road I said, "Jim, I'm not gonna [chuckle], I'm not gonna get real close to that, cause we might get a trip we don't want."  He said he didn't want to get close to it either.

So we stopped the car right there and it looked as though the UFO had been 'cast'.  We didn't see any kind of seams, no windows, no doors.  Now the west side of the UFO might have had them, or the north side, we didn't see those sides. And we couldn't see under the UFO, we wasn't quite there, close but you could see the side and over it, it was flat on the bottom and it was curvature over the top, like the common UFOs you see on TV.  That's what they really look like.  Well, at least the one we saw.

Anyway, we sat there quite a while and I don't remember what all we said but finally, the UFO drifted off of the radio tower and went out, not too awful far, and made a 90 degree turn and drifted off to the west and went out of sight.

So, me and Jim drove back home.  They were no longer reporting that there was a UFO above the radio tower, they totally, completely quit talking about it.  So I called the disc jockey up again.  And I said, "Hey man, I'm the one who was talking to you about the UFO, how come y'all quit telling that?"  He said, "Cause the government told us to shut it down, or we was gonna lose our license."

And I said, "Is there anything else you can tell me about it?" and he said, "Well, I can tell you this, our electrician went out there and he saw under the bottom of it, and it had some kinda writing on it, that looked kind of like hieroglyphics.  And he got scared and he left and we, he was so panicky, we actually had to go out and meet him on the way in.  And then we took him to the hospital and got a hypo to calm him down."  Which I didn't even know what a hypo was but that's what they said. What he said.

Anyway, about, uh, one month later, I called him again and I said, "Hey, this is the guy that had talked to you about the UFOs, is there anything else you can tell me?" and he said, "Well I can tell you KOSA TV Channel 7 went out there and took pictures of a UFO, right above the lights on West University."  Which is another main road out there and he said the government confiscated their pictures and told them they better not say anything else about it.  And they sure better not show any pictures, or they would lose their license.  And he said, "If you don't mind, I'd prefer that you didn't call me any more, because I'm afraid that I'm gonna lose my job over it."  And I said Okay.  So, that ended that.

And the next event was, we heard that the Smithsonian Institute was in our area out there, taking pictures of UFOs at night, with infrared cameras. So all four of us started hunting for them at night and we finally located them, out on some of the dirt roads and they were, had roads out there blocked off with their cars.  And there was a guy on each side of the car, in black suits... where you couldn't enter.  And you could see people out in pasture, with cameras on tripods, you could see little red lights out there.

So, we left that alone, cause we had already heard about it, we knew what that was.  And we could see that you couldn't enter. And of course there were things went on, cause we was watching for them. you know and after that.  We seen some lights and stuff, you know you couldn't swear any of that for sure. 

There was some odd things though, at night.  We'd sit up on our roof out there and look and watch for things but anyway, finally, I totally quit watching for them and uh, we was just back to normal life.

And one night, and normally I don't tell this story, cause I know if you tell too much, people think you are either lying, or you're crazy.  So I don't normally tell this particular story.  It's the last main thing that happened. And I don't know whether, you know, whoever was on that UFO had identified me and our location where we live, or what.

But anyway, one night I walked outside and there was this low cloud that looked like a cigar.  Oh, it was probably 50, 60 feet long [pause] and uh, it was moving slow, about 100 feet, a 150 feet above the road and I just watched it.  And it got down the road a ways and all of a sudden the cloud dissipated off of the UFO. It was a camouflage of some kind.  And it was moving through the dark sky and you could see the edge of the UFO.

And I hollered at Judy and I said, "Let's go, come out here and look."  She saw it to and we jumped in our Volkswagen, I said, "We're gonna follow it."  It's not moving real fast and I said, "You keep an eye on it and I'll do the driving."

And it started veering off more toward, uh, West University, rather than 42nd, so we got to 1936 and we dropped down to West University.  It started going toward town and the UFO was over a pasture out there to the north of University [pause] and it started flashing lights on it's side.  We was a little behind it and best I remember, they was blue, red and orange and they were flashing in sequence.  And the thing stopped and it started coming straight down, and it landed.  Out in that pasture.

So I pulled off of University, found a road out there that my head lights shined directly at it, it was about half a football field out there.  And I told Judy, I said, "This time, I'm gonna try to make contact."

And I remember looking at the cars up on 338.  They weren't stopping, wondering how come me, and then I realize they probably don't realize what this thing is, or else they're just not seeing it and uh, I told her I was gonna make contact.  She didn't say anything and I started flashing my headlights right at it.

Well, the next thing I knew, well me and Judy were real tired and there was nothing out in that pasture, it was just dark out there. And I said, "Man, I am so tired." And I looked at my watch and I said, "Where did all that time go?" 

And she looked at hers and she said, "I don't know.  Looks like about an hour." and I said, "Yeah, I think we've lost about an hours time."  And we were both extremely, extremely tired and we said we got to go home and go to bed.  And we both headed home, boy, and I mean we went directly to bed and went to sleep.

And I asked her later on about it and she said, "Well, all I remember is, we chased it and I remember we lost some time and it looked about an hour."  And she said. "That's about all I can remember about it."  And I said, "Well, I remember more than that. So evidently they hypnotized you better than they did me."

Anyway, I'm not saying we was picked up, we don't know for sure, if we was, or not but that occurred.

Everything I've stated here, is the truth.  And it sounds like it was a movie and we felt as though we were in a movie. 

But it wasn't.  This was real life and it's all true.  And that's the reason I'm documenting it right now, because future generations need to know they're real.  UFOs are real.

So, I can't think of anything else to say, other than it's documented and if you want to hear it, here it is.  Goodbye.

Investigator's Notes: For those unaware, infrared photography was discovered in the early 20th century but was not widely used until the mid to late 60s. 

I spoke at length over the phone, with Stanley and his wife, Judy.  Normally I do not post names but Mr. Wilson assured me that would not be a problem and that he insisted I keep the report, as is.

I asked the Wilsons and both were forthcoming about illnesses that they each have experienced, since that night in the pasture, when they both lost an hour of time.  It also seems that Judy was more affected and not just more memory loss than her husband, at the time of the event.

Conclusion:
I believe the Wilsons and other witnesses saw what they claim to have seen.  I also believe what the Wilsons experienced later, to be true. 

There was a country radio station in Odessa (at that time), with the call letters of KBZB.  It apparently changed hands in 1972 (Diama Joy Atkins took over after her husband died), then later the station was again sold.  The call letters have since been assigned to another station in a different state.

As in many such events, i.e., Roswell, there always seems to be a cover-up.

Kinross Incident: The UFO Intercept and Disappearance of USAF Lts Felix Moncla and Robert Wilson

On November 23, 1953, an unknown object was sightied on radar, in a "no flight zone" area of the Great Lakes.  A United States Air Force allweather F-89 "Scorpion" was sent to intercept the unknown target.  Both the unknown and the jet were seen on radar, both targets merged and only the large unknown was left, which soon disappeared off radar.  The jet was never found, not until 2006.  Or was it?  

Why am I bringing up this case now?  Well, I feel it is important to find out what really happened to the two U.S. airmen, 1st Lt Felix Moncla, pilot and his radarman, 2nd Lt Robert Wilson.

Equally important, is the fact that our skies are not as safe as they should be and who knows how many accidents, or near accidents have occurred since, due to UFO interactions.

The facts of the case are presented here.  Let us seek the truth. -SW

The Kinross Incident

First Lieutenant Felix Moncla, pilot, and Second Lieutenant Robert Wilson, radar operator, disappeared when their United States Air Force F-89 Scorpion was scrambled from Kinross Air Force Base, and subsequently went missing over Lake Superior while intercepting an unknown aircraft in Canadian airspace, close to the Canada – United States border. The USAF identified the second aircraft as Royal Canadian Air Force C-47 Dakota VC-912, crossing Northern Lake Superior from west to east at 7,000 feet, en route from Winnipeg to Sudbury, Canada. Some ufologists have associated the disappearance with alleged “flying saucer” activity and refer to it as the “Kinross Incident”

On the evening of November 23, 1953, Air Defense Command Ground Intercept radar operators at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, identified an unusual target near the Soo Locks. An F-89C Scorpion jet from Kinross Air Force Base was scrambled to investigate the radar return; the Scorpion was piloted by First Lieutenant Moncla, with Second Lieutenant Robert L. Wilson acting as the Scorpion’s radar operator. Wilson had problems tracking the object on the Scorpion’s radar, so ground radar operators gave Moncla directions towards the object as he flew. Flying at some 500 miles per hour, Moncla eventually closed in on the object at about 8000 feet in altitude.

Ground Control tracked the Scorpion and the unidentified object as two “blips” on the radar screen. The two blips on the radar screen grew closer and closer, until they seemed to merge as one (return). The single blip disappeared from the radar screen, then there was no return at all. Attempts were made to contact Moncla via radio, but this was unsuccessful. A search and rescue operation was quickly mounted, but found not a trace of the plane or the pilots.

The official USAF Accident Investigation Report states the F-89 was sent to investigate an RCAF C-47 Skytrain which was traveling off course. No explanation for the planes disappearance was offered, but the Air Force investigators speculated that Moncla may have experienced vertigo and crashed into the lake. Others believe the plane made contact and perhaps even collided with a UFO.

Kinross AFB / F-89 Disappearance


On the night of November 23, 1953, an Air Defense Command radar detected an unidentified "target" over Lake Superior.   Kinross Air Force Base, closest to the scene, alerted the 433rd Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Truax Field, Madison, Wisconsin, and an F-89C all-weather interceptor was scrambled.  Radar operators watched the "blips" of the UFO and the F-89 merge on their scopes, in an apparent collision, and disappear.  No trace of the plane was ever found.

U S Air Force accident-report records indicate that the F-89 was vectored west northwest, then west, climbing to 30,000 feet.  At the controls were First Lieutenant Felix E. Moncla, Jr.; his radar observer was Second Lieutenant Robert L. Wilson.  While on a westerly course, they were cleared to descend to 7,000 feet, turning east-northeast and coming steeply down on the known target from above.  The last radar contact placed the interceptor at 8,000 feet, 70 miles off Keeweenaw Point, and about 150 miles northwest of Kinross AFB (now Kincheloe AFB).

The incident is not even labeled as a "UFO" case in Air Force records; instead, it was investigated by air-safety experts.  There were several layers of scattered clouds (one with bottoms at 5,000 to 8,000 feet) and some snow flurries in the general area.  Official records state, however, that the air was stable and there was little or no turbulence.

The Air Force later stated that the "UFO" turned out to be a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) C-47 "On a night flight from Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Sudbury, Ontario Canada."  The F-89 apparently had crashed for unknown reasons after breaking off the intercept.  In answer to queries from the NATIONAL INVESTIGATIONS COMMITTEE ON AERIAL PHENOMENA (NICAP) in 1961 and again in 1963, RCAF spokesmen denied that one of their planes was involved.  Squadron Leader W. B. Totman, noting that the C-47 was said to be on a flight plan over Canadian territory, said "... this alone would seem to make such an intercept unlikely."

The Air Force suggested that "... the pilot probably suffered from vertigo and crashed into the take."  Harvard University astronomer and UFO debunker Dr. Donald H. MENZEL accepted this explanation, adding that the radar operators probably saw a "phantom echo" of the F-89, produced by atmospheric conditions, that merged with the radar return from the jet and vanished with it when the plane struck the water.

Exactly what happened that night remains unclear, as the Air Force acknowledges, and serious unanswered questions remain.  How likely is it that a pilot could suffer from vertigo when flying on instruments, as official records indicate was the case?  If the F-89 did intercept an RCAF C-47, why did the "blip" of the C47 also disappear off the radar scope?  Or, if Menzel's explanation is accepted and there was no actual intercept, why did the Air Force invoke a Canadian C-47, which RCAF spokesmen later stated was not there?  No intelligence document has yet surfaced that reports the radio communications between the pilot and radar controllers, and what each was seeing. Without this information, it is impossible to evaluate the "true UFO" versus the false radar returns and accidental crash explanations.

Canadian authorities denied that a C-47 Skytrain, or any other Canadian aircraft were flying in that vicinity, on the night of November 23, 1953.  So what was it that showed up as an unknown on radar? Though there were a few snow flurries and clouds, the air was reported stable, with no turbulence.

There was something out there with the F-89...

The mystery deepens.

Approximately 40 minutes after the F-89 disappeared from radar, another pilot, a Lt. Mingenbach believed he had picked up a radio transmission from Lt. Moncla, the pilot of the missing plane. It is doubtful that Lt. Moncla transmitted a final message from the bottom of the lake, 40 minutes after his plane collided with an unknown object, so who or what was it that Mingenbach heard?

Does tragedy end in a hoax, or more mysteries?

In 2006, radar detected a lone aircraft on the bottom of Lake Superior.  Sonar images revealed what appears to be an F-89 "Scorpion", with one wing sheared off. Along with that jet, was an unknown object.  The unknown object bears a strike mark, that matches a collision with the F-89.  It is speculated that the jet, piloted by Moncla, was struck by the "unknown" and both plummeted into the depths of Lake Superior.

Since the radar discovery of the down aircraft and it's mysterious partner, there seems to be no further word on the case.  Why am I not surprised...

The Schulze-Powell track begins at 18:51 at the top right corner of the Brownwood MOAs and moves towards PCR Crawford. Although intermittent, a cumulative plot shows a definite track. Other interesting anomalies are present.

RADARplot is a freeware application. Recorded radar data can be stored in various formats which need to be converted before animation is possible.

Assessment and conclusion? 

People saw something in the skies over Stephenville, on January 8, 2008.  The objects appeared on radar.  At least one object made a beeline for President Bush's home in Crawford, Texas, which was and is restricted airspace.  And during this whole thing, jets were flying all over the place.

I was 23 yrs old at the time and was walking home to a friend of mine and his parents house who were kind enough to let me stay with them. I was almost midnight and I was walking west on the north side of Yucca Junior High just a few houses away from where I was going. I believe the street is Tilden. There were two people walking towards me (a little bit older couple .. walking east) approx 20 feet in front of me .. when all of a sudden a very large (larger than a full moon) slightly egg shaped object flew over at about a 75 degree angle coming from the southwest headed northeast ... glowing a very strange lumenecently white light with absolutely no sound. When I saw it .. of course I was Awwed and a dumbstruck and totally gawking at it while it passed over head. It crossed the sky in no more than 5 seconds. It was hard to tell just how big it was or how high up it was, but Im guesstimating a couple of thousand feet maybe. I could have been as big as a football field and higher up or smaller and lower down. Dimension and height were just not decernable. I started to ask the people who were in front of me now (within 5 feet by now) if they saw that .. but they were looking at me like I was crazy and obviously I figured they never even saw it or they wouldnt have been looking at me; Instead theyd been looking up at it, so I didnt bother saying anything to them. I just continued walking totally amazed at what had just happened to me. Im 57 yrs old now and although some other things have happened to me in my life (I will not go into) this has been the only prominent sighting I have had. I live in Amarillo TX and am always going back and forth to Roswell on a regular basis (weekly, monthly) so I always keep my eye to the sky. Over the years I have spoken with many ol timers and have heard many strange stories. I even met a man who was in the Airforce(stationed at Roswell)at the time of the 47 crash and he told me It happened and he knew the nurse personally who saw the greys .... So thats my story after 34 years I decided to share it with you. 1978 UFO Sighting In Wyoming By Pilot And 100 Others

A commercial pilot reports that in 1978, he, his wife and at least 100 travelers watched an extremely large object (over 1 mile in diameter), descended from orbit, land and 6-7 small objects exited and flew away at high speed.  Then the object flew back into space.

Report:
While driving a semi truck hauling a Lowboy trailer w/caterpillar D-8 dozer in July 1978, about 7:30 MT time.  My wife noticed a star in sky at about 45 degrees inclination to the Northeast.  Looking to East I could see the moon well up and looking to the Southwest the sun was setting.  The sun was about 3/4 below horizon. 

When I looked back to the Northeast at my wife's exited urging, I saw to my amazement the star we had seen was now moving towards us and appeared to be growing larger.  The meteor, I thought was getting much bigger until it neared a small mountain directly in front of us, at about 5,000 ft. AGL/above ground level.

The object stopped and hovered for about 3- seconds, then landed on the side of the mountain.  I just mentioned, I'm assuming it landed but it could have been hovering behind the mountain.  It did not wobble at all.

This object was, I'm estimating, 5000-10,000 ft. in diameter, 1-2 miles.  I've never seen anything this large that was capable of moving under it's own power.

FYI, I am a licensed commercial pilot and used to be a certified flight instructor.  In 1988 I stopped flying, because I could only pass medical for private pilot, not commercial; my depth perception had deteriorated.  I'm 65 now as I write this, back to sitting.

After it appeared the large object had landed, nothing happened for about 2 minutes. Then about 6 very small silvery objects made one orbit around the large object and flew towards the Northwest, at what I would guess at mach 2+.

It's been many years since we saw this.  I've become dulled to the excitement, I felt this, what I now call a UFO.

If anyone would look at a NASA photo of the sun and it's corona, you would see an almost identical picture of what we saw that day.  I want to make sure it's understood that all this took place in full daylight, on a clear, almost cloudless day.

There were over 35 vehicles stopped with us on the north bound side of the road, with about 10 vehicles stopped on the south bound side.  There were 8 people that I talked to on my side of the highway, that took 8MM movies of all or part of this sighting.  I estimate that 100+ people witnessed this event.

When the object departed, it climbed about 5,000 ft, hovered for a few seconds, then accelerated back along it's approach path.  From it's hover position until it disappeared to space, took about 30 seconds.

FYI, this is the first time I've told anyone except for 3 or 4 friends and of course they didn't believe.

Oh yes, later the next day I called flight service and the FAA said they had no radar contact with any craft at that time of day, in that area.  The FAA would not tell me about any other reports.

This was a long time ago, so it may not be of much interest.

Recent Interview with Mark Rodeghier of CUFOS

1. Mr Rodeghier, could you please introduce the CUFOS, its set-up and objectives? Is the center working in collaboration with others American or foreign Ufological organisations?

CUFOS was begun in late 1973 by Dr. J. Allen Hynek, a professor of astronomy atNorthwesternUniversityand the long-time principal scientific advisor to the US Air Force project on UFOs (Blue Book). It is a not-for-profit organization that was envisioned by Hynek as a type of scientific clearinghouse and think tank for the UFO subject. The objectives and goals of the organization have evolved over time, but the most important are to be a reliable source of information on the UFO phenomenon, to do our own research on a small number of focused projects, and assist other individuals and organisations to do investigations and research that are rigorous and well designed. We have a small but select scientific board of collaborators, both in the States and abroad.


CUFOS has formal ties with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and the Fund for UFO Research (FUFOR) through the UFO Coalition, a partnership that has completed a number of joint projects, such as the Abduction Monitoring study, or the publication of specialized monographs.


2. What is your function within the CUFOS? Could you please describe some of your activities?

CUFOS is not a large organization, and no one is paid a salary, so my duties range from the mundane to the more scientifically interesting. My chief tasks are to coordinate our investigative and research activities, to correspond and network with our collaborators, and to help organize and maintain the CUFOS archives. From time to time I also deliver lectures or appear on radio or television programs as a spokesman for CUFOS.


3. You have been involved since some decades in the UFO research. From your perspective, how has the overall topic evolved since Mr Hynek’s period?

Many years ago, the UFO problem seemed more simple and straightforward. If there are unknown UFOs in our skies, then they will undoubtedly be aliens from somewhere nearby in the cosmos. This was before abduction reports, before more bizarre cases were well known, and before the phenomenon continued to evolve in its characteristics (see below). Now the puzzle of UFOs has only deepened, although even Hynek before his death had realized that something even more unusual or esoteric than alien visitors might be involved, at least in part (an idea that researchers such as Jacques Vallee had proposed for many years).   Continue Reading...

"I was plowing manure at my farm in Vermillion, Minnesota on 11/21/11 when I noticed what looked like fire above me. I put my tractor in nuetral and watched the odd shape move kind of back and forth. It had lights that were, idk, maybe you could call it pulsating or something, but the lights on this thing looked like flame throwers or something. It was wild! So after 30 or 40 seconds of watching this thing, I grabbed my iphone and took this video. The thing dissapeard shortly after that. I sat there starring into the sky for like an hour before I went back to what I was doing. Never saw it again. It was the weirdest, almost disturbing thing I've ever saw. Now, I don't believe in aliens or UFO's, but I have absolutely no idea what this thing was or could have been."

Extraterrestrial War of the 1930’s linked to UFOs over American capital

(The Canadian)-  Alfred Lambremont Webre documents that journalist and author Robert M. Stanley has assembled over 900 reported UFO and extraterrestrial sightings of the past 160 years in his book Covert Encounters in Washington, DC -- the largest assembly of Washington, DC-based UFO/ET sightings in history.

Mr. Stanley reveals in an exclusive August 3, 2011 ExopoliticsTV interview with Alfred Lambremont Webre that this record number of 900 UFO and ET cases have led him to the inescapable conclusion that Washington DC is a major interdimensional portal for an attempted takeover by interdimensional negative entities, including negative grey and reptilian UFO/ETs.

Mr. Stanley concludes that this negative interdimensional faction is aligned to attempt to prevent humanity’s evolution, and is mind-controlling New World Order (NWO) controller elites and institutions like the U.S. government toward this end.


What, if any, have been the messages of apparent relatively ethical Extraterrestrials?

Alex Collier claims to be among those of us, as humans, who have been in contact with relatively ethical Extraterrestrials. Mr. Collier claims that lower-dimensional aliens infiltrated our human time-space; then travelled back in time, to selectively alter human history. Our present therefore would reflect an altered state of reality produced from the regressive alien species that went back in time to perpetrate an interdimensional war against Earthbound humans.

Alex Collier is not the only Earthbound human who has claimed to have received messages from relatively Ethical Extraterrestrials.

In the book Extraterrestrial Friends and Foes George C. Andrews contains a very specific message from another human species that has apparently been seeking to warn humanity of the Manipulative Extraterrestrials and their “human clone vessels” which pursue an ongoing interdimensional war against intergalactic communities of human species. The alleged message originates from a human species called “Procyons”.

Dr. Michael Salla writes that Procyon is a binary star system about 11.4 light years from Earth. According to Andrews, the Procyon was flourishing until it became embroiled in sinister effort by the same Manipulative Extraterrestrials that Alex Collier links to an Extraterrestrial War that Alex Collier describes, that was apparently “wiped’ from human consciousness due to their time travel that affected human consciousness of events. “Khyla” is the name of a Procyon human described by George C. Andrews that transmitted the following message to warn Earthbound humans of the challenges that face us, as humans, as a result of the interdimensional war described by Alex Collier. Kyla apparently described the process adopted by “the Grays” in their subversion of Procyon:

“The Grays began to visit us, first a few as ambassadors, then as specialists in various domains where their expertise could be useful to us, as participants in different programs that involved mutual collaboration, and finally as tourists. What had begun as a trickle became a flood, as they came in ever-increasing numbers, slowly but surely infiltrating our society at all levels, penetrating even the most secret of our elite power groups….”

Khyla continues:

“Just as on your planet they began by unobtrusively gaining control over key members of the CIA and KGB through techniques unknown to them, such as telepathic hypnosis that manipulates the reptilian levels of the brain, so on Procyon through the same techniques … they established a kind of telepathic hypnotic control over our leaders. Over our leaders and over almost all of us, because it was as if we were under a spell that was leading us to our doom, as if we were being programmed by a type of ritual black magic that we did not realize existed.”

Dr. Michael Salla further documents in exopolitics.org that Khyla went on to describe the eventual take over of Procyon by “the Grays” and the enslavement of most Procyons that did not escape.

Dr. Salla elaborates on Khyla message that “using advanced time travel technology which involved ‘multidimensional consciousness’, something which the Grays apparently could not duplicate due to their degraded genetic bodies, a significant number of Procyons were able to escape and began a liberation war from the ‘remote corridors of time’. Significantly, the Procyons describe how some of their resistance techniques would be relevant to the situation on Earth:

“… it would be suicidal to attempt to fight the Grays directly with the weapons now at your disposal. One must be rational in attempting to fight back, and understand the proper way to proceed. Your own consciousness is the most potent weapon that is available to you at the present time. The most effective way to fight the Grays is to change the level of your consciousness from linear thinking to multi-dimensional awareness…. They have the technology to throw your planet out of orbit, but there is one key ability that you have and they do not have: the ability to hold in mind imagery that inspires an individual to realize his or her direct personal connection to the source of all that is… That is your key to victory.”

According to Alex Collier, the Procyons have recently liberated their world from “Gray” influence and he describes the Procyons as currently “gung ho” when it comes to dealing with the Grays.

In conclusion, Dr. Michael Salla stipulates: “the Procyons main activity is in effectively resisting the extraterrestrial subversion by developing a ‘multidimensional consciousness’, using mind imagery to protect oneself from extraterrestrial mind control, and monitoring unfriendly extraterrestrial activity.”

Furthermore, Dr. Salla elaborates: “The global solutions that the Procyons can assist in include exposing extraterrestrial subversion, helping end global secrecy of the extraterrestrial presence, promoting multidimensional consciousness, deprogramming mind control, promoting universal human rights, and developing the internet and global communication.

Mr. Collier appears to suggest that through time travel, Earthbound humanity was severed from other humans, and that the Procyons are an example of this severing context. Dr. John Lash’s research on the ancient Pagan Gnostics suggests that humans have been entrapped into an alien solar system, and that our Earth has been entrapped into a universe which reflects the alien mind that continues to perpetrate an interdimensional war against Earthbound humans. I've listed below, some of the earliest recorded sightings of triangle-shaped UFOs, not counting the Belgium Flap in Europe.  I've intentionally limited the sighting to those seen only in the U.S.

It has been speculated that Triangle UFOs are nothing more than secret military craft but that begs the question: Was our technology advanced enough for such craft in 1947?

I am not referring to ploddingly slow, blimp-like craft.   I'm speaking of craft that can pivot on their axis and go from zero to thousands of miles per hour in the blink of an eye.

On a cloudy night I saw bright colored ligh trails through the clouds red was the dominant color,there was a large clear space in the clouds it appeared to be ten miles in lenght and about three miles across,Six triangular objects appeared out of the clouds they were in a V formation and trailing behind them was a long spectrum of light,they dove at a steep angle down and very low to the ground,In their dive the spectrum behind them begane to shorten and they slowed down.The craft passed before Me,and I was standing on a small hill able to see inside of the closest one It had a window about 4ft.by 3ft.and set back into the craft about 4" with a metalic frame,the inside was an off white with pure white lights iminating the inside ,on the far side and forward there was a smaller window in the same shape,rounded corners.The craft was black and despit its (V) shape frome below from the side view it had a very arodinamic shape, it had front windows that were very small and blacked out,it had no tail, the back one third was slanted down to where the particles came out of the back and the nose came to a blunt point,I felt as though I could put my hand over the blunt nose.The front windows came from the top of the craft and decended to the begenning of the nose.It passed by at a very fast speed a lot of what I saw was a blured but I did see a lot,it dissapeared behind some houses and I thought that it was going to crash,but they pulled up very steepely I got a glimpse of the top veiw but my young mind could not interpret the info. very well,the last thing I saw were the six craft linning up vertically and acending into the sky with their spectrums trailing behind them.I forgot to mention that the spectrum of the craft I was observing fell into particles straight down into the ground as it flew on.

I was one of a group of soldiers, sitting and lying in the grass, awaiting our turn to be processed for discharged. I lay on my back and looked straight up to see two triangular craft manuvering as if they were having an aerial dog fight. They would turn at sharp angles. The sky was very clear. They were so high they looked very small. After manuvering around for awhile overhead they went off in a straight line so fast they were gone within a second. This was a couple or three days before I was discharged on May 15, 1950.

This is the first time I ever reported this and curious if anything like it has been reported. Some years ago, standing in my backyard, I looked up an saw a triangular shaped object with a round cigar shaped bottom. The craft was a beautiful brillant blue. From the nose what appeared as an electrical charge started and snaked across the body of the craft. As it did the color from the nose bac changed to a beautiful green. When the charge stopped at the tail the entire object was green. Sparks or shrouds of light came from the back (approx. 30 ft long) The object lurched forward and disappeared in a few milliseconds. Anything like this reported before.

One object triangular in shape. Size approximately 100 feet long. Bottom of craft appeared rounded. Color at time of sighting: Light that was blue. Noticable change: An electrical color snaked or wormed through the body starting from what appeared to be the nose. As the light snaked through the color behind it changed to a beautiful green. At termination of electrical charge the entire color was green. Sparks or energy rods shot from the back of the object as it lurched slightly forward and then disappeared in a few miliseconds. I do not wish to have my name released and request confidentiality. I am curious is anything like this has ever been reported. If you want to contact me by e-mail, please do. We saw very close to us just above the trees a Dark-solid-Triangle it Red Globe glowing lights on each corner (triangle was 25-30ft equilateral in shape)

I am now 47, but at the time of the sighting I was 14 years of age and me and the neighborhood gang of four other kids (three of which were two brothers and one sister)were outside before we had to go in for the night looking for a Satellite that had been launched from Cape Canaveral that morning. It must have been around 8:00pm and it was just after dark and the weather was warm, clear sky, no clouds. Stars visible. I was the oldest and the ages of the other kids ranged down to about 8-9. We were in our own neighborhood and standing at the end of the street. Exact intersection address is N.W 42nd Ave. and N.W.9th Street The kids started yelling for me to look at some lights approaching us from the North. The first thing I saw was a soft red light approaching us thru the trees. And as it approached closer I could see two more red lights coming with it. My first thought was...what is that? As it came into the clear spot from behind the trees, the shape could be seen....a dark sharply outlined Equilateral Triangle with Three round-globe softly glowing blood-red lights, one on each corner where it would have come to a point if the lights were absent.It was Approximately 25-30 feet tip to tip each side although it could have been slightly larger.It was moving about 3-5mph...this I know because after we got a good look at it, we ran ahead of it in the same direction. The purpose of was to get my friends parents outside so they could see it too.they were only about seven houses down on the same street we were on (9th). And we were able to run ahead of this thing which was not too much higher that the trees... maybe 60ft up but less than 100ft. Well my friends parents Did witness this... But I will say this...I have never really understood their reaction to what we saw. The Father, who had been in the army and in Germany and tinkered with free-flight gas engine airplanes, saw this, and went back in the house and didnt say anything....I think he was spooked.... but when I asked him several times during the time after..even years after..he said He didnt know what it was, but would not discuss it... The Mother was spooked and didnt understand what she saw..now this is from my viewpoint of course... but I know how they acted at the time and remember it.But as far as my friends go, the two brothers and sister, They have all talked about it in the years since....we all know we saw something very strange. This machine, and it was a craft...was SILENT and if there was a sound, we didnt hear it.I could answer questions about this easier in person... because this typing is draining.. I have never been able to forget this experience. I was not afraid but really want to know the answer... I want to know if there was any other reports of this back in 1967 in Florida or elsewhere... and there is more to this story....something related happened 11 years later and about 60 miles away in Ocala National Forest.But this is too cumbersome here for me to say it all... I met Stanton Friedman in person here in Florida a few years back at White Springs and shared this with him, and Gave him a sketch of this that I made, but he had no information to share...he just thanked me for what I gave him... 1975 - A Close Encounter After "Close Encounters"

A witness claims that as a teenager in 1975, he and other teens observed a disc-shaped UFO over Atascadero (San Luis Obispo), California.

Seems Like it was early fall. I do know that the approximate date was two weeks after "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" had come out in the theaters, because that was one of the things that Victor had said to Dan.
I want to restate for the record... I don't know why this sighting hasn't been reported long before now. Everybody in three counties saw the darn thing. And it was huge. OK, So here goes...
The football game wasn't quite over. I still had my Greyhounds Marching Band Sweater on. I'm pretty sure I was supposed to walk home after the game was over. I ran into Victor Smit_ and Dan Souz_ in the parking lot out in the front of Atascadero High School.
Victor and Dan had procured some weed and a case of budwiser and asked if I wanted to join them. They were headed out to a spot known as 3F Meadows. One of their prefered party spots. But it seemed that Victor had decided to show us a new spot off Morro Road, not that far from our original destination. The reason he liked this new party hole was because it was just that, a hole in the center of these large rocks that had been draged together I guess by the Indians thousands of years ago.(a megalith)
There was plenty of room for maybe three or four cars to park. What made this spot exceptional was that the roof line of the car was just high enough that you could see the tops of cars approaching, but thier headlights were low enough that they didn't blind you. It was easy to tell if the approaching vehical had a cherry on top. And there were six or eight ways out of there. A pretty neat spot.
We had just arrived, got out to strech our legs Victor popped the trunk and we got four beers out, Bud Talls. We got back in the car listening to the radio as Dan was rolling a joint in the shotgun seat. Victor was just talking about how good it was that I had joined them that evening and commented on the stars and how bright they were in this secluded spot he had introduced us to, due to there not being any light pollution from town(Atascadero,CA). He then became very excited. "Dan Look! It's just like in Close Encouters of the Third Kind". Dan complained because Victor had made him screw up on rolling the joint, broke the paper or spilt it or something. Dan gave the lights in the sky an off-hand look and decided to get back to work trying to roll a joint. Dan procceded to tell the tale of how he and Victor had been to see the movie which had just opened two weeks before. He was telling us the tale of the movie when Victor just about came unglued... "Put that shit away and look at this. They're coming right to us. Their coming right here". Dan looked up and out the front windshield and was Freaking out. I looked at the guy who was sitting beside me in the backseat and we both leaned over the back seat to get a better look at this thing. We could see it big as life. It was approaching us from the north, heading due south, right at us. It was moving slow and low over the foothills, just to the west of town. And it was headed straight out to where we were parked, in the midlle of this circle of rocks. As it got closer to us it slowed down even more. I remember this ancient Oak tree that looked as if it had been hit by lighting once or twice in the past five hundred years, standing there under that flying sauser as though it had seen this craft before. Victor said, "I'm going to get out and make contact", and immediatly both Dan and I grabbed Victor. I had wrapped my arm around him from behind and Dan had his arm. I said "Like Hell, I'm not going to go home tonight and tell mother you were abducted by aliens". Dan said, "Ya right, You don't even know his parents. It would be me trying to explain this shit and I say we're all staying in the car no matter what happens".
I want to call the other guy in the backseat with me Jack or Craig but I can't say for sure. Well, he spoke up and suggested that we roll down our windows and sit in the windows so we could see it better. We all agreed. That sauser hung there just above that old oak like it had just been headed out to the woods and found us in its' parking space. Then it began to just sort of moosy off toward Pozo.
This is the point in my story where I want to describe the craft for you... It was as big as a NFL Regulation football held at arms length. Approximately 200-300 yrds in diameter. It was hard to tell.
I don't remember there being a moon or not, or we would have been able to see the skin of the craft better. It was the classic shape of one dinner plate inverted on the other. There was no dome on top per-say, but there was a plasma like blue eletricity flowing from the top to the center and from the bottom to the centerline where the two plates would form the edge of the craft. Just so you get the idea of how low to the ground this thing was...on the bottom of the craft there were two glowing orbs of energy, one greenish-white and the other redish-orange, but as it started to move away slowly, you could see a blueish orb on the far side, so as to make a group of three glowing orbs on the bottom of the craft. As it moved off it began to gain altitude, but not much. As it went out and around the foothills toward Santa Margarita,CA. It kind of gave a wagging off the wings. (I used to dream that I was on board and gave myself a dipping of the wings, so that I would remember that it was me flying by that night, saying goodbye to myself). The story doesn't end there.
Victor said "It's headed for Black Mountain". He fired up the car and we through out our beers that we had just opened and Dan started cleaning up that joint he never finished rolling. We scramed to the 101 south bound. Victor doing about a hundred miles per hour to Margarita. As we screamed past the graveyard at Hwy 58, I finaly talked Victor into giving up the chase. I told him, "Look, that thing could have sat down in any one of the valleys on either side these ridges and we would be driving right past them". We turned around at the 58 junction and headed home. I figure the only reason we weren't pulled over is because the cops were busy with the aliens. Turns out that wasn't too far from the truth.
Victor dropped me off at 23:30. As I walked up the driveway to my house I decided that I had to wake up Mom, Dad, everybody and tell them what I had seen. If I waited till morning they would just blow me off as having gone out and partied too much the night before. I had to show them right now that I wasn't stoned or drunk or anything else by looking in my eyes tonight and seeing for themselves that my eyes were clear and that I was telling the truth. I had really seen a UFO. They're Real!!!
I got everybody up and gathered in the living room. I knelt down in front of my father sitting in his chair and looked him in the eyes and said glancing back and forth to mother, "Tonight I saw a UFO, for real". My mother leaned over and sniffed me, "you've been drinking". "Yes Mother, I had maybe three swollows off a beer. Don't you see? That's why I got you all up, so you can look in my eyes and know I'm telling you the truth". Mom dismissed everyone while I knelt there at my father's knee and told him my story. "Well", he said. "Sounds like you had quite a night. Let's go to bed. We'll talk about it in the morning".
Seems like the next morning was school. Victor and Dan amushed me at my locker, Physcally threating me with kicking my ass if I told anyone about our UFO experiance. They knew it would take the two of them if they were to have have any chance of carring out thier threat. What really bothered me was how scared they were that I was going to say something. What was it that they were so afraid of?
That evening I was watching the evening news when there it was. KSBY San Luis Obispo's television said that the sherif and police departments had responded to calls and witnessed the object cruising on by. I tried to get my mom into the living room to show her but it was too late.
That weekend my Uncle Jerry and his brood (who lived in Santa Maria, CA)were over playing cards with Mom and Dad. When Mom told Uncle Jerry, Jerry called me into the dining room and asked me what I had seen. I told my story again. He said, "I saw it too". Turns out he had been on the head end (he was an engineer for Southern Pacific RR) of a train pulled up to the gate at Surf, CA.. For those who don't know, Surf CA is the siding that trains have wait at before they can enter into Vandenberg AFB, the coastline. JR proceeded to tell of how he was just sitting there when our flying sauser came cruising over the coastal mountains at his back. He took notice when it dropped into his rearview mirror on the engine. It paralleled along about half of the trains length, slowly looking over the train. Just then two jets scrambled off the runway headed in the wrong direction. When they started to come back around, my Uncle Jerry said "that sauser did a zig north and a zag west and that thing was gone like a bolt of lighting. Those two planes didn't have a chance".
It just so happened that My Uncle Jerry was actively pursuing his pilots' licence and knew just who to call at the Santa Maria Airport tower. He asked if they had seen what he had just saw? His friend told him that the craft had cruised by slow and low that they thought it was going to hit the tower.
A few days after the card game, JR calls me and tells me to go down to the store and get the Telegram Tribune and look on, it was either the forth or fifth page... and there it was. No bigger than a postage stamp, tucked in among the public service announcements...
"Vandenberg AFB reported tracking a UFO. Contact was lost. An investigation is ongoing. There is nothing more to report at this time" (or something to that effect). I was 15 years old, a freshman.
