Multiple witnesses view unidentified lights near Detroit, Texas

On the evening of December 13, 2010, multiple witnesses observe bright red-orange orbs in sky and experience power outage in Detroit, Texas.    Here is the unedited report submitted to MUFON.

Report:
I was driving home on FM 410 North when I seen one bright red orange light out of my peripheral. Just as I looked in its direction it was dimming out. I knew it was not an airplane as there are always planes flying over at much greater altitude than this light was at. It was stationary.

I continued staring in the sky and then two red orange lights/orbs lite up. They were stationary, in the same place the first light came on. The two lights stay on for a few seconds and then dim out one at a time.

I knew then this was not anything I could explain. I am still driving but now going very slow never taking my eyes off the sky. A few seconds later 6 - 8 red orange lights come on.

The lights are in a row, still in the same place, not moving. The lights are all on for a few seconds and then one at a time they go out.

I seen lights and noting else. I could not see what they were attached to. After all the lights went out that was it. They sky looked just like nothing was there, like the ufo was invisible. There was no sound, nothing dark blocking my view of the stars, nothing.

I was shocked when I seen the lights because I knew what I was seeing was a ufo, but I could not believe I was really seeing it at the same time.

As I drove closer to my home at a very slow speed, and still looking at the sky I realized that the area of the sky I seen the ufo at was almost directly over my house.

I whipped in my driveway, stopped immediately, got out and stared at the sky, but there was nothing there just the stars.

I went inside freaking out, I was alone pacing back and forth in my kitchen going to the window looking out, and then I would think what if they are still out there, so I would walk back to the main area. If I was to look out my kitchen window I could see the ufo if it was still there. It was not there, but I wanted to look and didn't want to look at the same time.

I text my sister, I think I just seen a ufo. Right away she called me and she was freaking out too because she said the son of the woman she worked for had just seen the exact same thing I had seen a few minutes before.

My sister works at a gas station which is about 7 miles north of my home. The same time the boy was seeing the ufo she was closing the store when all of the sudden all the lights went out in the store, and all the lights in the entire area surrounding its location went out.  Every thing went pitch black. She said it was like something drained the power.

The home of her boss is about one mile east of the store my sister works at. This is where the boy seen the ufo. He described the exact same thing I seen. It was over his house long enough for him to go inside to get a shotgun and come back outside. It scared him. This all happened about ten minutes before I seen the ufo.

Later in the evening my sister is texting a friend about the events that had happened and he replies to her that his uncle also seen a ufo and his uncle had described what he seen to be the same thing I had seen and the boy had seen.

His uncle lives a few miles northeast of the gas station my sister works at.

So these lights made three appearances on the night of December 13 between 6:00 to 7:10pm in a distance of about twenty miles, with three different people, myself included, in three different locations.

I do not know the other two personally, I have not spoken more than a sentence to the other two people. We do not share anything in common except the fact that we all know my sister.

Dark object with rotating lights seen near Santa Ana, Texas

One mile west of Santa Ana, Texas, a witness and his wife observed a dark object with rotating lights.  Here is his report and illustration submitted to MUFON.

Report:
The wife and I had driven to San Angelo from Brownwood that day to find some good food we'd read about on the internet.   We were just a mile west of Santa Ana on our way home and it was just now becoming completely dark. I observed the object just 15 degrees to the right of the road from my point of view in the passenger seat. At first I thought it was a really low plane but there's no airport for quite a while, and it was a quiet night with no sounds at all but the car running.

I watched the object which seemed to be just a hundred feet up hovering and turning clockwise. I could tell it was turning because it had three very bright white lights, and I could see the round shape, but there were no blinking lights and the lights weren't pointed down like any plane light I'd ever seen. It was a perfectly clear night too.

At first I thought it was a plane turning, but the lights kept coming around the object, two lights showed and then three as one would rotate out of view and another would appear from the other side. It made about ten revolutions and disappeared completely.. no more lights, no more dark spot. I might have blinked!

5 seconds later my wife said, "did you just see that?" And I said, "Yes, I did, but kept silent from the awe." She said the same. We slowed and looked around. The only other traffic was an 18-wheeler behind us and he slowed too and seemed to be looking for the object also! We pulled over to let him pass but he just waved and pointed up, so we knew he had seen it too!

I didn't even try for the camera since it was so dark it would have never made a decent photo or video. It took me almost a week to report because I thought "nobody would believe this" and I probably listened to way too much Art Bell in the 90s, but I checked the time before and after and wrote down where we were as soon as we started moving again.

I whipped up a drawing in paint...and my wife said it was pretty exact, so here it is!

Will the real astrophysicist please stand up?

UFOs Coming?   There is a fantastic story spreading around the internet, that has everyone buzzing.  There is just one teeny weeny little problem, maybe two.  There is no SETI Astrophysicist named Craig Kasnov and there are no large objects (OK, "flying saucers") visible on the Sky Map, as is claimed in this viral report:

SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov has announced the approach to the Earth of 3 very large, very fast moving objects. The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers. Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.
A few very large objects rapidly approaching the Earth - says SETI astrophysicist Craig Kasnov. Don’t take his word for it you can check it out for yourself. He recommends to go to the site http://www.sky-map.org/

16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object
02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle and enter the coordinates of the giant UFO:

The project participants are assured that the facilities are absolutely real, and the American space agency NASA is trying to conceal important information.

None of these objects can be seen from the northern hemisphere. The second set of numbers in each line tells us that the "object" or "objects" is/are coming in from very deep in the southern hemisphere sky.

I can't seem to find an astrophysicist named Craig Kasnov, working for SETI, or not.  I also checked out the SKY Map and try as I might, I could not see any space ships, saucers or otherwise.   Darn.

Craig Kasnoff, along with David Gedye, 'co-conceived' the idea for SETI@HOME.  He is not an astrophysicist.  Perhaps there is a Craig Kasnov somewhere, who is an astrophysicist but at this point, I don't need any other convincing that this is a hoax.

So before you get all excited and start burying a bunker in your back yard, or planning a welcoming committee,  check it out for yourselves.

Frisco, Texas - October 23, 2010

Saw your post about the lights in the sky above Frisco, TX.

I live in Frisco close to Hillcrest/Rolater and on Sat. Oct.23 around the same time you mentioned about 7:00PM my 12 year old Daughter and I were in the backyard of our house and watched these 2 star like objects up in the sky for about 20 minutes and they did appear stationary. There was also a 3rd star like object much further east that looked exactly the same as the other 2 objects.  They all appeared to be changing colors which is what caught our attention, since the other stars in the sky were just white.

We always see airplanes going to DFW and these were not airplanes, and I'm not quite sure what they were since I have never seen anything like them before.  There were passenger airplanes going across the sky towards DFW when we saw the objects and my Daughter said that we thought the airplanes could probably see these objects.

I mentioned it to my brother who lives in Denton and he has spoken to other people in the Frisco area that saw the same objects but did not want to report it.  I actually dismissed it until I saw the Steve Stoler WFAA story about it.

I don't want to come forward on record, but I can back up what you are saying and can tell you that the objects my Daughter and I saw were not Airplane's or anything else we have ever seen in the skies!  These objects stood out in the sky like a sore thumb and I am certain that there are many other people who witnessed them that just don't want to come forward and talk about it.  It was actually nice to see that other people saw the same thing my daughter and I saw, since if you tell most people something like that, they just think your crazy!

My wife was probably also a little bit relieved when I showed her the Steve Stoler story, since she kinda gave my daughter and I a funny look after we told her what we saw in the sky that night.  Maybe she doesn't think I'm so crazy now!   :-)

Also that night my daughter got tired after over 20 minutes of watching these objects and wanted to go back into the house.  They were still in the sky when we went back inside, so I was not able to see what happened to them.

What I will never forget is the multicolored changing light patterns that were going on within the very bright star like objects. I don't know if that was some type of energy source the objects (possibly craft's) were using or not, but I think the colors were red,blue, and maybe green which were all morphing into each other and constantly changing.

Anyway it's nice to know that I'm not going crazy and seeing things that are not there, since it sounds like many other people saw the same objects that night.

Were they picked up on the DFW air traffic controllers radar?
Could be our military's black projects or could be something else not from here.
I'll let you know if I see anything else.

East Texas- November 24, 2010

I live in East Texas.. And Wednesday I saw the strangest pattern of lights. I at first thought it was a plane. But the pattern changed up,, and they moved very slow. Very slow.  It was late at night. But I stayed outside for the longest time just trying to figure out just what I was watching. There is no way this was a plane. No way. The pattern changed.. And yet came back together.   And there is no plane that is this  large.  I have no idea what I saw.. But it has had me so very curious....  I am hoping that someone else has seen this. As I have never,, ever seen anything like this.

When I asked for more information:

The lights were going in a south west direction. They were very high. It was 2 in the morning. I have trouble sleeping at night. And everyone was coming here for Thanksgiving the next day. So I just stepped outside to see if it was clouding up since I had heard we had a good chance of rain.  It was strange as at first I thought I was looking at stars.  And then they started moving. I watched for a longtime.  They were far apart from each other at first. Then they started flying closer together. As if they were getting into a formation. And that is what they did. It was sooo strange. There were maybe 3 to 4 lights in a straight line in front, and then lights that came up on the side.  But yet, almost looked like the shape of a stealth bomber..  Who again,knows what this was.  The reason I looked on the internet was to see if someone else had seen what I had..  And the fact that they were far apart at first and then came in together I knew it was more than one aircraft.  I stayed outside till they flew out of site. .   The color of the lights were like that of stars.. All clear. No color at all. Which is what made me that much more sure these were not planes.  Please.. dont think I am nuts. I have hated to even tell anyone about this. I did mention it to the family on Thanksgiving, and they told me it was most likely satelites.. I doubt it,, as why would they fly in formation like that. And be moving around sperate from each other at different times.. Again, hope this helps.. Who,,, I dont know. LOL.. But as a grandmother I have never in 61 years seen anything like this.. Ever.

Onego, West Virginia - December 9, 2010

A friend and I saw something similar near Onego, WV last night.  Very low but not enough to see stickers.  Went toward Petersburg.

Note:  I am assuming this witness is referring to recent sightings in West Virginia.  Perhaps they saw military aircraft?

Your UFO sightings are important.  When sending a report of a sighting, it is helpful to give the exact (if known) date, time and place of sighting.

Other important ingredients for a good report, is to give a complete description of the object(s), what you were doing at the time you saw the object, what direction (North/South/East/West) you first saw the object and in what direction the object was heading.

Every story has a beginning, a middle and an end, so please add what you thought the object might have been, describe what the object was doing and also how you lost sight of the object.

If you have any photographs of the object(s), or drawings illustrating what you saw, please include those in your report.

Please, report your sightings.  Others may be waiting to see if someone else saw what they saw, then you can validate each others sightings.

Another Object seen near Cisco, Texas 12/09/2010

Aside from my own sighting - Christmas lights in the sky near Cisco, Texas, someone else saw and reported a round, disc-like object with lights.
Here is that report:

Report:
At 6:35 PM, I was driving south on Highway 183 towards Cisco. About three miles north of Cisco, a round object appeared directly in front of me over the highway. A series of white lights went on and off in succession all the way around the object. It took about 4 seconds for the lights to go around the object. The object appeared to be stationary. The object did not reappear.

My own personal UFO Sighting account.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 18:22 hrs.

While driving from our home near Breckenridge, to Eastland, Texas (which is approximately a 30 mile drive for us), my spouse and I saw unusual lights in the sky.

We were traveling south on Hwy 183.  It was at approximately the 12 mile mark south of Breckenridge, that I noticed a short string of what appeared to be "Christmas lights".  At this time of year that is certainly not unusual but what was, is that these lights were at some distance, located to our south/southwest and about 10 degrees above the horizon. 

There was no hill there from my vantage point, no house and no towers.  The lights were clearly elevated some distance above the ground and over, or near I-20, west of Cisco, Texas.  If a ruler was held at arms length, the string of lights would have been slightly less than 1/2 inch (approx. 1.25 centimeters) long.

I was in the passenger seat, so I leaned forward to get a better look through the windshield.  The lights were clearly visible for about 5 seconds, until my view was momentarily blocked by trees.  When we passed the stand of trees, I was able to see the lights again. Unfortunately, another stand of trees again blocked my view and after only 4 or 5 seconds to clear the trees, the lights were gone.  They didn't just move away, they were simply gone.

I asked my spouse if he saw the lights and he answered yes, however, he thought the lights might have been an aircraft, as he only got a glimpse of them.

I could not be so dismissive, as I had clearly seen the lights, which appeared to look like multi-colored Christmas lights in a slightly elliptical, horizontal pattern, as depicted in my illustration (above).

I might also add that I had just emailed a friend before we left home, telling him that we might see a UFO.   Later, the lights appeared right after I thought to myself, "OK, show yourselves."  Perhaps someone, or something heard me but they didn't show for long.

This is by no means my first sighting and surely won't be my last but I am left wondering if anyone else saw these same lights, in the vicinity of Cisco, or perhaps somewhere near there.  If so, please contact me.  With the help of others I may be able to pinpoint the object's exact location.

UFO sighting and possible time loss in New Jersey, 1977

In 1977, a young man and his girlfriend stop in a cornfield in New Jersey, which leads to a UFO sighting and possible abduction.

Report:
Girlfriend and I park in a corn field for a private moment. We are 19 and 20. It's late August in NJ and corn is about 6 feet high. About 9:30PM. Time was important because I had promised to bring her home by midnight and home was about an hour away. Gorgeous night, cloudless, bright stars. Visibility probably 20-25 miles. So pretty, we continue to stay in our seats and stare at the sky in front of us. Within a few minutes, we (I?) notice dim light on the horizon, proceeding left to right, same speed. Am guessing it was the first satellite I ever saw. We watch it slowly disappear over the horizon to the right. For some reason, we continue to watch the night sky directly in front of us, still sitting in the car, though we are 'on the clock'.

Few minutes later, notice another light, brighter, starting from similar position as previous object in the far left sky (I do not know which compass direction we were facing). Same path over horizon, same steady motion as first object, except this object's light is brighter. When object reaches mid-point of our field of vision, it seems to stop. We wait in silence for object to continue left to right movement. It does not continue. However, it seems to be getting brighter.

After a minute or so, I realize that the object is moving and it is becoming brighter because it is heading straight towards us. Estimate the object was 4-5 miles away when girlfriend and I become agitated; not exactly frightened but upset that this thing is headed our way. Looking back, it was an odd initial response.

She looks at me and says we have to leave. I start car and reverse out of the field (we were about 50 yards in) and onto road heading back to New Brunswick. Should be about a 10-15 minute drive to get back to Route 27, out of Franklin Park farmland and back into town.

I accelerate to a high rate of speed (60-70?)on winding roads to get away. My girlfriend turns her passenger door mirror up to sky, and surprise, surprise, the object has arrived and stays right behind us in the center of her mirror.

Now my agitation turns quickly to fear and then to anger. What am I running from? Why am I running? It's probably a helicopter having some fun with us. I see a farmhouse up on the left (I'm not stopping in the middle of the road) and pull into the driveway behind an old 40s Ford or Chevy black pickup. There's just enough room to get off the road and behind the truck.

Farmhouse is front right, truck in front of me, an 7'-8' hedgerow running the left of the driveway. I remember opening the door, placing my left foot on the ground to step out of the car, while looking up to sky above the hedgerow to where the object should be. I remember a bright light behind the hedgerow. I remember looking up to scan the sky and my memory ending at the top of the hedgerow.

My next memory we are in the car, not talking, driving towards a T roadway stop sign (our road ends and you can either turn left or right) at which we will make a right and then be back on 27 in a 1/2 mile. As I pull up to the stop sign she says 'there they are'. I look out my window on the driver's side and see it.

It was a perfectly round, smooth saucer. Surface looked like brushed stainless steel. No windows. Perfectly smooth. I'm looking at the bottom of 50' - 60' saucer, about 30' over me. The bright white light was bottom center. I later remembered a red light at one edge and green at the exact opposite edge. About 10 years later I met a USAF test pilot through a mutual friend. Told him about the sighting. He believed my story (a bit too easily I thought) and thought the object to be terrestrial because of the red & green lights on the aircraft.

No sound that I can remember. No wind or breeze. It hovered over us and then slowly moved across the street (more farmland). Now I can see full craft; top and bottom are identical shape and surface material. I estimate middle top to middle bottom about 20'.

I make the right and can see the traffic light on Route 27 up the road. I follow along with craft (it follows us?) on our left. It has now lowered itself to just above ground, but moving with us about 40' away. My speed is normal. I'm no longer concerned about it. I lose sight of it behind a strand of trees and bushes running along the road; when we reach an opening there's no sight of it - but I have no interest in stopping to see where it went.

I pull up and stop at the traffic light on 27. It's a long light. We don't say a word until my girlfriend notices a crack in the windshield; passenger side, it's a jagged crack about 3 inches up and 4 inches over. She excitedly points out the it wasn't there at the start of the evening.

We then notice the time on the car clock is 11:22PM. As this was all happening around 9:30PM, we should been at this traffic light about an hour earlier, even with the stop - which at the time, I did not remember that I had stopped. That memory came back to me later.

Clocks were unreliable on American cars in the seventies, so we confirmed the time when we got home. The car's clock was correct.

We discussed it later only once and only to confirm that we saw the craft directly over us and what it looked like.

Went back once trying to find the farmhouse. I did not find it. I was never very interested in returning to the area.

Later that year saw 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'. No nightmares, no desire to head towards a meeting point and no after effects that I could point to other than a lifetime interest in UFOs.

We later broke up and I have not seen her in over 30 years. But the sighting still seems as if it happened last week.
