Well this is 3 days in a row now. The lights came back in intervals for 45 minutes. They would appear for about the first 30 minutes as orange lights. Then the final time we saw them the appeared as a 4 lights, 3 of the orange lights were in a row but kinda on a slant and the 4th light was off to the side of it a good ways.
I had 5 other people with me this time and we all saw it, I snapped some pictures but it doesn't show up well at all. Unfortunately I don't have a video camera. But they lasted for 45 minutes and they were east of Abilene Texas.
Lon Strickler, of the website known as Phantoms & Monsters tells me that he has been contacted by Watsu Usa and Shinichiro Namiki, correspondents and writers at MU magazine in Tokyo, Japan about writing a piece on the Perth Orbs. MU magazine is a monthly publication (print and online) at GAKKEN Co., with a circulation of 70,000 and has enjoyed a very good reputation for over 30 years.
Lon will also be doing a monthly radio segment on Beyond the Edge radio, starting in April. Beyond the Edge is a weekly radio show currently on Z-Talk Radio Network and Jackalope 105FM Radio Network - Sunday night at 9:00 PM-12:00AM Eastern US Time - http://www.beyondtheedgeradio.com/ .
There will be an expansion in a few months that includes merging with a major paranormal network, thus the reason cryptozoologist Nick Redfern and Lon Strickler were invited and added to their lineup.
There will be a production meeting on Friday where all the details will be ironed out.
Attached is a Google map from Robert Powell* with white lines that shows the direction that I and two of the other witnesses saw the lights. The yellow lines bracket the Brownwood MOA.
Mr. Powell has filed an FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) with Carswell AFB in Ft. Worth, which is the origin of the jets. The only problem is that they will take at least three weeks to reply, if not longer. He has asked them if they dropped any flares that night.
More witnesses are coming forward to report their sightings of unusual lights in the Texas skies, from Abilene, to points East and South.
What were those lights in the sky? I have been in contact with Robert Powell, MUFON's Director of Research. We are currently trying to establish if these lights could have been flares, though several witnesses do not believe they were.
I received an email this morning, from a witness in Abilene. I called him to get further information. Here is his report to me:
I saw them too from my back porch in South East Abilene…It was same time…caught my attention because a plane was landing at Abilene Air Port and I thought the plane had mechanical problems…The lights were orange and almost like a lazy ‘m’ from where I could see them…they would line up in different formations…one time there were 5 straight up and down and then 4 straight across….I called my wife and told here to come see these UFO’s she laughed at me but came outside and saw just one appear…then two appear…then 3 appear…three is all she saw…then went back in…I told her to get me some aluminum foil…she laughed at me….
There were not flares, even though I thought they might be coming all the way from Fort Hood…180 miles away from Abilene…but they were not appear long enough for flares…they were not jet afterburners…I have seen thousands of those being from Dyess AFB area.
I have no clue what they were…I have seen them before and told my wife, but she just blew it off…this time, she saw them…last time I saw them they were more due south of Abilene back toward the hills…thought they might have been fire works then….
And another report from Dublin, Texas: My son and I were driving home to Dublin from Cottonwood Baptist Church on Highway 6 at about 8:30 p.m. When we got about a mile outside of Dublin proper we noticed two blinking lights in the sky. They were
blinking white and blue and were very subtle looking. Then they turned big and bright orange. They sat there for about 15 seconds then dimmed to the subtle flashing lights again. Then they turned the bright orange
again. But this time just one of the orange lights had a stream of 5 or 6 lights come from it. Then those went out and the orange lights dimmed to the flashing lights again. They then began to speed across the sky
and then more lights showed up. Once again they turned bright orange then dimmed and sped around then brightened again. Sometimes there would just be one light sometimes there would be several . . . as many as 4 or 5. Only one time did I hear a sound from them. It sounded like a jet had flown by but it came from the lights. After watching them for about 20 minutes doing this repeatedly I had to leave. But I came back about 10 minutes later with my son and daughter this time. We looked for them again but never saw them. While we were sitting there though two jets flew by at a very high rate of speed and within 5 minutes two more flew
by. I do have pictures but have not been able to download them to my computer yet. They are still on my iphone.

It is possible that the military was dropping flares... as a distraction, a ruse? We hope to find out. Stay tuned.

Let me start out by saying that I and my spouse witnessed large white/orange lights in the sky, from our farm near Breckenridge, Texas, on March 31, 2010 at 8:30 pm.
It appears that we were not the only ones to see lights like this. Other witnesses reported to MUFON and one witness reported in a comment on this blog, claiming to have seen these same lights.
To the person who posted to this blog about having seen lights in the sky near Strawn, on March 31, 2010: Please email me, or at least submit a report to MUFON.

Description: Several orange/white lights appear, then disappear several times.
Report:
My spouse and I saw some strange lights south/southeast of Breckenridge, Texas, at 8:30 PM this evening. The lights were in the direction of Eastland but possibly further south.
I spent the last hour before dusk, planting beans and peas in our plowed field. I had just finished for the day and was standing at the NE corner of the field, with a clear 360 degree view of the sky.
I was observing a few stars barely decernible above me when something made me look to my south. Suddenly a bright white/orange light appeared, then 4 more next to (east of) it. The four came on all at once. They all blinked off at the same time. These lights were approx. 10 degrees above the southern horizon. They lights only appeared for a few seconds each time.
I ran to the house, yelling for my husband to "come quick, UFOs!" (I didn't know what they were). I grabbed my binoculars and by the time we got to the field, the lights were gone but as we stood there, a light appeared, then 3 more in a loose triangle formation. They all blinked out at the same time, then slightly further east they all appeared again. Each time they blinked out, they would appear a bit further east until I could no longer see them because of the treeline.
Moments later, we saw at least 1 jet flying into that area and it was tiny in comparison to the lights.
After the lights were gone, my husband said, "What is that?" He pointed up at about 65 -70 degrees ESE and said, "Watch that star, it's moving." I watched it through the binoculars. I told him it was probably a satellite but then the object did something that satellites do not do, it altered course from ENE to due east and then a few moments later, it disappeared.
I contacted Robert Powell (MUFON) and described what I had seen. We discussed it and he sent me a video of flares he had taken sometime earlier. My husband (a military aviation veteran) and I watched the video. The flares did not resemble what we saw tonight. My husband is adamant that what we saw were not flares.
Evidently we were not the only ones to see these lights tonight. I have a blog called "Lights in the Texas Sky". A short while ago, someone posted to my blog what they also saw this evening and it matches very closely to what Joe and I saw.
Here is their report/comment:
"tonight 3/31/10 around eight thirty PM we saw about 10 flashing lights. it would appear for about 1-3 seconds as a bright orange light, dissapear for about the same time, then come back. but when it reappeared, rather than there only being one there would be multiple. this is about our forth time to see these things and we only see them at night but they are always the same thing. an orange light that flashes a few times then dissapears and we dont see it again the rest of the night."
If I hear back from the poster, I will send any information to Mr. Powell.

Report:
We live on a farm not far from Hwy 6 and Carbon, Texas. My husband and I went out on the patio, facing the west, after dinner around 8:35 PM on Wednesday, March 31st. By the way we had lasagna, a salad and water, no alcohol. I was setting in a rocker facing the southwest, my husband was in a rocker facing the northwest. I was looking toward our pecan orchard directly to the south of us. All of a sudden I saw 5 bright amber colored orbs in the sky about 35 degrees above the horizon. They just appeared and stayed on steady and didn't move. They appeared to be overhead and just west of the city of Carbon almost 3 miles south of us. When they appeared it was like they came on in sequence, 1,2 3 4 5, real fast. The front light would go off as the back light would appear, but always 5 lights stayed on solid in a row.
I told my husband, "what the hell is that" and when he saw my eyes and heard me he turned his head quickly to the south and he saw them too. We both got up out of our rockers and headed south into the lawn and stood there for a good minute or so watching these lights. He said that's not an airplane. I said it's not a meteor show either or a comet or a star. My mind was trying to process just what this was and if it was anything similar to anything I had ever seen before. There was no noise. The adrenilin was flowing and my heart was in my throat. I had never seen anything like this. I was scared. They were moving to the east. They would disappear for several seconds then reappear a little further east in a different formation almost like if you spread your fingers out on your hand and hold it up to the sky, there would be a large orb at each finger tip. They were large amber lights in the sky. They were not blinking lights, just solid lights that would appear and stay on solid, then all would disappear for a few seconds. They didn't move in a straight line. Each time they appeared they would be at a different level off the horizon from 10 to 35 degrees.
I ran inside to get my camera while my husband stayed in the yard and continued to watch. While I as inside I called the sheriff's dispatch and reported it and ask if they had an officer in the area to ask him to look to the south toward Carbon to see if they could see it. I ran back out side and my husband said they had moved farther to the east and lower on the horizon maybe about 10 degrees. They looked like they were headed in the direction of Stephenville. We stood there for a good 15 minutes to see if they reappeared but they didn't. Sadly, I didn't get my camera in time. I was too in awe of this thing to leave to go inside and get it.

Ok this is two nights in a row now. Im starting to feel like a broken record here. This time they came on in in a row of 4-5 lights but quickly faded out within' a few seconds. Then they came on a 2nd time this time it looked more like a triangle and the lights were all red when it was in the formation of a triangle. If I had to quest i'd say the from each point of the triangle was at least a mile long. so im assuming if my math is correct it had a diameter of 3 miles? Not sure if triangles have a diameter but you know what I mean. It was once again the south east of Abilene.

Report:
I was driving. Turned off of Hwy 101 south onto Alabama Hwy heading into Rome.
I saw what I thought was a bright star and as I got closer it got brighter. I then realized that it was cloudy and that there were no other stars around.
I focused on the light that was stationary and it brightened then turned off... immediately I saw a red light on the left side and a green light on the right side. I knew that there was a RR crossing up ahead and assumed it was a train, however when i arrived at the RR crossing the was no train but instead an almost spherical object floating about 3 yards past the crossing and about 30foot in the sky.
I immediately called my husband in tears because I knew that what I was seeing wasn't "right". I was crying in fear when I told him what I was looking at. I passed directly under the object and could see there circular shaped on the bottom.
I pulled over into the old Coosa Middle School parking lot in an effort to take a pic/video with my camera phone.
There were no lights on the back side and by time I could get my window down it shot off toward the mountains were it turned around again to where the red and green light were showing then with a flash it was gone.
I am still creeped out and afraid to drive home from work tonight!

Description: Bright lights in sky, hovering about 5 miles N-NW of Columbus Grove
This is the 2nd time I've seen these lights. I wouldn't have filed a report but I did a quick search for Ohio and recent sightings and found more than one news story, in particular from Euclid, Ohio, that match what I've been seeing exactly.
The lights at first glance appear to be plane or helicopter lights. In fact, the first time I saw them, I didn't even give them a second look. That was on March 23 at approximately 11:30pm. I only thought it was something strange when I went out later that evening at 12:30am and saw the same lights in about the same position. I watched them for quite awhile and attempted to video tape them (which I do have), but the tape only reveals fuzzy lights so it's not worth much.
The lights stayed there for another 30 minutes until my curiosity got the better of me so I got into my car and drove toward them as best as I could. As I left town, I seemed to be getting closer to the lights and they were actually closer than I initially thought since they didn't in line with the stars and horizon as a distant object would. Just as I noticed I was getting closer, that's all the closer I was able to get. In fact, the lights moved relatively quickly away from me toward the east. I tried driving as fast as I could to catch up and drove about 60 - 70 mpg for about 10 minutes and could not catch up. I turned around and the lights were gone a few minutes later.
The lights I saw tonight (the 29th) were exactly the same lights. The difference is that I saw them to the Northwest of Columbus Grove instead of the East (March 23). I watched the lights for more than an hour and tried video taping them but again, the video camera couldn't get a good focused video. I tried using the 60x zoom on it and a couple times I did get a clear glimpse, but the lights just appeared as , well, lights.
the lights were white and blue. Truly, I would have thought they were helicopter lights but they hovered in approximately the same spot for hours and there was no noise at all. I didn't want to waste gas so I didn't chase them this time.
Again, the Euclid sighting seems to match what I saw exactly.

Note: Could this witness have seen landing lights on a jet or helicopter? Well, I don't know any jets that can hover like that, or even helicopters that can hover in one spot for more than a few minutes. Having a helicopter mechanic in the family gives me a edge on exactly what helicopters can do, and this does not fit my idea of conventional aircraft.
I also feel the need to add that driving 70-90 mph chasing lights at night is not recommended. It only takes one large animal in the roadway to spoil your whole week, month, or maybe a lifetime.
The best thing to do is to call friends or relatives in another location and ask them to look for the light(s). If at all possible, between several individuals you may be able to triangulate the object's location. Someone else may also be able to get a good photo or video of it. -SW
The objects reported nightly over Lake Erie skies at Euclid, Ohio, are incoming jet traffic from Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport, according to Ohio Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Field Investigator Tom Wertman.
Wertman was reached by telephone late Thursday for a final disposition on the case.
Euclid, OH, resident Eugene Erlikh, 20, originally reported unusual objects out over Lake Erie that were appearing in the same spot night after night. The story was picked up by Fox News, Cleveland; and also by MSNBC.
The network stories brought the case to the attention of Ohio MUFON and Wertman was assigned to move to the site and have a look for himself.
Wertman, like many other ufologists who called or wrote to the UFO Examiner on this case were suspicious of the case from the beginning. The suspicion, they say, is when a sighting repeats itself in the same spot over many nights. Ufologists seem to agree that sightings like this generally have a natural or manmade ending.
Wertman specifically tracked lights from the same area where Erlikh says he was seeing lights. The two even spoke on the telephone, with Wertman outside and nearby. Erlikh was talking on the telephone from inside his high rise apartment.
"I was with him on the phone the other night," Wertman said, "and he described the exact same lights that we were both looking at. As each object came out, we matched the same time frames. He even went back at the end of the night and reviewed the three major sightings of the night. And all three were a match. The only difference was our watches, but the time frames were the same."
After Wertman was sure that the lights he was seeing were the same that Erlikh was seeing, his investigation began.
Wertman began comparing the movement of the lights to incoming air traffic at Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. In addition, Wertman was using a computer to track incoming flights in real time.
On one of those evenings, Wertman and Erlikh had agreed on the three objects.
Wertman said the first object was a flight coming in from Chicago.
"Once spotted over Lake Erie, the object stayed relatively stationary for about two minutes," Wertman said, "then a second light popped up at thumb's length (if held at arm's length) from the first one. The flight tracking software was then showing a second flight coming in behind the first."
The data from the flight tracking web site was matching what Wertman was seeing.
"The first object appeared at about 8:40 p.m.. The light appeared in the northwest at 300 degrees at approximately 5 degrees above the horizon. It was a short time later - one to two minutes later - a second object appeared beside the first one. And holding my thumb at arm's length - the two objects were a thumb's width apart."
"The intensity of the second light was the same as the first. The web site used to track the air traffic showed two aircraft in that same area. The first was coming from Chicago. A short time later a third light appeared. One of the first lights was moving, getting dim, and moving toward the southwest. The second light was still stationary and it gave the appearance of hovering. It appeared to be stationary or hovering for about 3 to 4 minutes."
Cleveland airport is southwest of Erlikh's location.
"The web site was now showing that the first plane from Chicago would land then at 8:44 p.m. The second aircraft landed at 8:49 p.m. That was evidently the two planes that were close together."
Each object moved from the lake area to the southwest and toward the airport, matching the arrival time of the flights.
CASE CLOSURE
Wertman said he is marking this one - case closed. "It's air traffic for Cleveland-Hopkins," Wertman said. "The flights take a swing out over the lake where they can, at times, appear to be stationary. Then they move, one by one, to the southwest and into position to land - and right on time - according to the flight data available on the web."
Can someone mistake lights in a night sky for something anomalous? Happens all the time, according to ufologists.
Wertman said he was talking with Erlikh during one of the investigation evenings, when Erlikh shouted, "Did you see that? An F-16 just flew over my building."
But Wertman, standing just outside Erlikh's building, had seen what had just gone over his building at between 1,500 to 2,000 feet above the building. "I corrected him and told him it was a small business jet. Most likely landing at nearby Burke Lakefront Airport."
And by the way, Tom Wertman was just named Ohio State Section Director by State Director William Jones. Congratulations, Tom.

Note: While some lights can easily be explained, others cannot. Not every light in the sky has an airplane or helicopter attached to it. Not all sightings are the space station; other types of satellite; the space shuttle; man-made rockets; weather balloons; flock of birds; Venus; swamp gas; meteor; etc.
If after you have run through all other explanations and still can't determine what the object is, you have what is known as an "unidentified flying object".
