Hey Sky Watcher,

I have to say what we saw and filmed is not the ISS. You stated that the ISS flew over you area, at approximately 9:30 PM. What we filmed was timed at 9:03PM. Also our object is flying too low and is too small to be the ISS. There was a jet liner flying about 39,000 feet (from west to east) about 10 miles south of our location and it left a vapor trail that the triangle passed under. Sorry I forgot to mention that in our original report. I will update MUFON with that and a copy of VHS-C video hopefully by Tuesday night.

Update: Triangle-shaped UFO near Bend Oregon

Summary:    Bright triangular shaped object sighted on far east side of Bend, Oregon.

Report:
Three of us were returning from a high school football game in a SUV traveling north on 17th street on the east side of Bend, Oregon. It was 10 pm when we noticed lights to the north, off in the distance, perhaps several miles away. It was a clear night and no moon light.

As we discussed the incident later, all of us at first just assumed it was an aircraft at first. However the object then went from what seemed like a stationary point several miles off and at a high rate of speed, perhaps 1500 mph, as though it was shot from a gun, it came directly towards us and stopped a short ways off, maybe 1000 feet away. It stopped instantly; there did not appear to be any acceleration or deceleration -it just went full speed and stopped on a dime.

Then the object in a similar manner shot off in easterly direction and stopped again then it came back again and hovered perhaps 500 feet away and not more than 500 in elevation. Then the object moved very slowly getting closer to us. We could see very clearly the object was triangular in shape perhaps the same mass as a medium sized motor home, not really very large. Underneath the object were perhaps 15 symmetrically placed bright white lights that formed the shape of a triangle with lights inside the triangular shape as well. I would estimate the diameter of the lights at 5" and they were definitely round in shape, the bottom side protruded down sort of like spot light in shape. All the lights were on and extremely bright, not flashing or pulsing or fading.

The object was approximately 1/3 longer than the width of what appeared to be the rear of the object. On the sides were red lights that appeared to at times be on wings or perhaps the upper sides of the craft. One of the witnesses with me said he saw blue lights, which I did not see. When the craft was slowly hovering a short distance away it seemed that part of the craft, the part illuminated with the red lights, rotated or shifted some how in a very bizarre manner, as though they meshed, passed through each other and traded sides on the craft which gave the impression it was flip flopping around, although the triangular shaped lights on the bottom remained constant and did not change or fluctuate in their positions.

These events all unfolded in about 90 seconds, then again the craft shot off, like shot from a gun. It went from a hovering position to full speed instantaneously which was at a very high rate of speed in a westerly direct and in just an instant out of sight. All of these maneuvers did not generate any noise, the craft was absolutely quiet and did not stir up any dust on the ground. We did not see it again, it was gone.

All of us were shocked and nervously laughed about what we just seen. Not one of had ever seen anything like it before. We started to try to explain what we saw. We eliminated helicopters because it would have been noisy and would stirred up a bunch of dust. A helicopter could never perform those types of maneuvers, we eliminated airplanes for similar reasons. The only conclusion we could draw was that the object was a UFO.

Perhaps this was a once in a life time event for the three of us, but we all agree, we hope to see it again. It was very interesting and fascinating. In retrospect not one of us was fearful or frightened, only curious. I spent a good portion of the next evening looking into the night sky hoping to see it again. We all agreed we would never look up to the night sky in the same way after seeing our first UFO.

Update: Witness says second day of Tri-UFO sighting near Stockdale

Is this a case of mistaken identity?  Read the report and my suspicions:

Summary:    Second day seeing triangle UFO near Stockdale, Texas.

Day two of spotting a UFO near Stockdale, Texas – We (myself , my son and his younger step-brother and step-sister) parked our SUV approximately 2.5 miles (Texas 87/97 and County Road 538) Southwest of where we spotted the three lighted triangle UFO the night before. We set up four cameras (one VHS-C and three digitals) around the SUV. At exactly 9:03PM we spotted what we believe to be the same triangle UFO as the night before. It was moving at the exact airspeed and flight path angel (from the Northwest to Southeast) as the night before. However this time, the altitude was up to about 8,000 feet and it tracked about a 40 degree angle up from the horizon west from our location and the flight path was about 15 miles west from the night before.

My experience as a retired Army helicopter mechanic and weapons tech makes me feel that this is a drone. When my son said the UFO was zigzagging coming down from the sky the night before reminded me how the old line-of-sight, wire guided TOW missiles would zigzag along its sighted path to its target. This UFO looks and ‘feels’ like it is on a pre-calculated flight path using the earth magnetic fields as way-points and not land terrain or land marks as flight references. It also reminds me of how ‘we’ would send spaceship or probes to other planets to map the terrain. In other word, it is either mapping the terrain or it is looking for any wreckage from the reported falling airliner, see MUFON report Wingless, burning object falls from cloud near La Vernia, Texas.

Now here is the kicker, as soon as we spotted the UFO, two of the digital cameras locked up (froze). I never see the cameras do this before. The VHC-S camera could not get a focus on it but we have audio. The JVC 1080 camera was the only one that worked but the quality it terrible (see added film). I cannot say what caused the three cameras to go bad but this morning they are working just fine now.

I cannot make it back out there tonight for I have to work this weekend. It would be nice if someone could continue the watch tonight. Looking over the maps I predict if should track just southwest of Floresville, Texas anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30PM. Maybe setup at 97 and CR 102 but this is just a guess, it could pop about anywhere or nowhere.

Note:  My first instinct is that this is/was the International Space Station that flew over that area, at approximately 9:30 p.m..  I know, as I watched the ISS from my home, some 200+ miles Northwest of Stockdale.  The ISS took a NW to SE path.

Summary:    Three White Lights in Triangle Formation

Report:
My son and I have driven to the little town of Leesville, which is five miles north of Nixon, Texas to look for more eyewitnesses to the prior night report (See ‘Jet liner with no visible wings burning and falling out of a cloud’ September 14th 911 Call). After spending about two hours in Leesville and the surrounding area, we drove back to Nixon and asked around if anyone had seen anything in the sky.

At approximately 8:30PM, my son and I started our drive West from Nixon on Texas 87/97 toward Stockdale. We had drove pass the town of Pandora when my son makes me pull off to the side of the road. He said something is zigzagging between three stars. With the truck still running and traffic coming at us in both directions I jump out with my camera and ran over to his side.

My son was now standing outside the truck and is pointing in about a 55 degree angle up and is pointing northwest. I asked him again what he saw. He stated it is not an airplane, not a shooting or falling star. It was moving zigzagging and it is now coming right to us. Since I was driving my eyes needed a few seconds to adjust to the night sky.

I told my son to get the spot light and point to it (we learned to carry a high power spot light with us at all times). He points the spot light at a now slow moving light, this is moving right towards us from about 1,000 to 2,000 feet above. As it moved closer to us, a few more cars and trucks pass us on the road but nobody stopped.

At first it was a solid light but as it flew closer I can see three separate lights in a tight triangle formation with a huge light at each corner. Each light was glowing and had a shape like those sunken ceiling light used in modern kitchens, you can only see the lower half of the light. We could not see any metal or any shadow of the body but you can see the three lights where mounted onto some kind of fixture. I believe the diameter of each light would be 15 to 20 feet across and the space between each light about 6 to 8 feet.

I would give it a size between a Caravan 675 and a Citation CJ4 or a length of 50 to 100 feet. It moved steadily over our heads from the northwest to the southwest without changing its speed or direction. My truck was still running so we could not tell if it was making any noise. I predict it was moving about 70 to 80 miles an hour for it took about ten minutes to fly over us and out into the horizon.

I was so busy trying to get measurements and directions in my head that I forgot to film it. Go figure.

After it faded into the night we drove up to the next crossroad which is County Road 538 and turn left and drove about 100 feet to get away from the traffic. We parked there observing the night sky for another hour or so but there was no more activity.

We are planning to set up there again tonight.

Unknown Object seen burning and falling from clouds near La Vernia, Texas

During the early evening hours of September 14, 2010, a witness traveling in the vicinity of La Vernia and Nixon, Texas sees an object that appears to be a 'wingless' jetliner, apparently burning and falling from a rain cloud.  Here is the report he submitted to MUFON.

Summary:    Jet Liner with no Visable Wings Burning and Falling out of a Cloud.

Report:
I was driving west on Texas State road 87 towards La Vernia. It was lightly drizzling and the traffic was driving slowly. I saw a little light shining through the rain clouds so I pulled over to get a better look at it because there no other star or light in the sky at that time. I stepped out of my truck and stood there next to the driver's door for an about five minutes. As the rain cloud slowly dissipated and moved from South to North and I discovered I was looking at a shining star or a planet. However, as I was about to reenter my truck, something fell out of the slow moving rain cloud.

At first I thought there was a mid-air collision so I imminently called 911 to report it. First I got through to Bexar County 911 dispatch then I was transferred to Wilson County 911 dispatch. A second car pulled off the road about 100 feet behind me and I believe they too witness this event.

This is what I reported to 911: I told them I was driving on 87 heading to Stockdale, Texas. I was presently between San Antonio and somewhere near La Vernia. I told 911 to hold on and I jumped back into my truck and drove about 200 to 300 feet to give them a crossroad. I pulled up to County Road 365 and relayed my position. Then I explain that I saw something about the size of a jet liner fall straight down from the rain cloud but there was no more rain coming from it now.

The 911 dispatcher asked if I was sure it was a plane. I told them it looks like an airplane but the wings had broken off (I did not see any wing on the side facing me) and about the size of a Boeing 757 or a bigger 747. I estimated the bottom of the cloud was 20,000 feet and it fell for about 5,000 to 10,000 feet and I think I counted 2 to 3 seconds of free fall. The object was about 20 to 30 miles East of me and was burning up on its way down but it was engulfed in blue flames with dripping hot metal falling more from one side of it (Like when you see videos of the Space Shuttle Columbia breaking up on reentry). Except this thing is dropping straight down from the cloud and it was falling horizontal as if the plane hit a wall, stayed intact and started falling.

As I watched it fall, all the flames had burned out about 5,000 feet above the ground. I could not hear anything because of the passing traffic and I did not see a ground impact because of the trees on the horizon. I told 911 that it was not a meteor because meteors fall like left to right or across the sky. 911 asked me where I thought it had falling. I told them it fell to the north and between of La Vernia and Stockdale. They asked for my full name and said they are sending a car out to investigate.

After I hung up the phone with 911, I continued my drive to Stockdale and picked up my son and told him what I had called into 911 about 15 minutes earlier. So we continued East on 87 looking for the crash. We drove all the way to Nixon with no luck so we stopped into Nixon's Dairy Queen to get something to eat and asked around if anyone had seen anything fall from the sky. There were about four employees but no one had seen or heard anything.

It was now exactly 9:51PM when I stepped outside of the Nixon's Dairy Queen when I heard and noted a twin engine plane flying very slow in a circular formation right above the town. I motion my son to come out and verify the aircraft. I could not see any markings (just the anti-collision lights flashing) but by it slow speed and altitude I believe it to be a search plane.

Next we drove back to Stockdale. On the drive back to Stockdale from Nixon, we passed two police cars heading East but I could not tell if they where State or Local law enforcement.

About 4 miles West of Stockdale we took up a looking position at the southern corner of the intersection where 87 and 97 from Floresville meet.

At exactly 10:33PM a low flying Helicopter was flying from West to East just north of 87 in the direction to where I reported the possible impact area.

At exactly 10:55 two police cars with sirens and lights flashing were driving very fast from Stockdale direction towards La Vernia direction.

At about 11:15 with no further incidents, we drove home so I could make this report. I have added a few maps of the area to show my location when I called 911. (Name removed by SW)

I was sitting outside with dog having a cigar when I heard what sounded like a Native American chant echoing from a darkened field. This object came over the trees at about the altitude of an airplane fromt he direction of the chanting. The object was a bright, yet dulled pale yellow. It was about the size of Jupiter and Venus joined together on their brightest luminescence. It flew from the west to the southeast. After the object went over the far horizon the chanting ceased within minutes. I don't know if the two are related but they seemed to coincide with each other and each seemed to stop with each other. I tried to check the field where I heard the chanting from and it was dark and empty. I also got the sense of presence from the object and along with the chanting seemed to cast a strong presence of unease.

Report:
I had left from work at about 10:00pm and was beginning my hour long ride home on my scooter. Shortly after leaving (around 10:10), I was driving west on marine drive nearing the 223rd st exit. As I approached the off-ramp, I noticed a unique light in the northern sky, and it was heading in my direction. What made the light unique was that it was circular in shape and moving back and forth across the front of the craft. It reminded me of the car "kit" from the television show 'Knight Rider' except for the fact the light was white and round.

As it drew near (roughly 100 yards away), I could see the underneath of the craft. It seemed to have a triangular shape but rounded (basically there seemed to be no straight lines). The craft was also a silver color and absolutely had no visible means of propulsion. I didn't see any propellers or jet engines.

Now the most incredible part of this experience was that the light seemed to help determine the direction the craft would head. The light stopped pacing back and forth and was stuck on one end for about 20 seconds. The craft started heading in the direction the light was facing, and soon the craft stopped and tilted forward as if the lights were this crafts eyes.

I immediately realized what I was witnessing was something out of the ordinary and caused me to lose control of my scooter for a brief moment. While this happened the crafts light shot directly in my direction and then the craft slowly turned in my direction. By then I was so scared I focused on my driving, trying to figure out what to do and where to go, being that I was in an area with little traffic and little to none lighting.

About 30-45 seconds passed without looking at this craft,(while heading south on 223rd), but once I turned my head assuming it'd be above me by then, it was gone. When i noticed the craft gone, I was coming to a light (possibly Sandy Blvd.) I will gladly provide further info if needed. Thank you

UFO causes shut-down of airport in Mongolia

Tucson Citizen-  Reports from People’s Daily Online and Shanghai Daily confirm these reports from the news outlet Dbw.cn. The airport in Baotou in Inner Mongolia was forced to delay the landing of three planes originating from Shanghai and Beijing. The airport was shutdown for nearly an hour, due to the appearance of an unidentified flying object.

According to reports, the object was seen hovering about four kilometers east of the Baotou airport at 8pm, with the three planes diverted for safety reasons.

China’s Xiaoshan Airport was also shutdown for about an hour earlier this year, on July 7th, due to a UFO.





People's Daily Online- Workers at the Hohhot Air Traffic Management Bureau observed with instruments an unidentified flying object (UFO) 40 kilometers east of Baotou, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region at 8 p.m. on Sept. 11.

"The airport received a notice from the Hohhot Air Traffic Management Bureau about the appearance of an UFO. To guarantee security, the aircraft heading for the airport had to land at secondary airports. Otherwise, it may have led to collisions," said Ms. Luo, from the Baotou Airport.

Around 9:14 p.m., three flights from Beijing and Shanghai to Baotou were delayed, and the aircraft were forced to circle in the air while waiting to land.

Furthermore, the Air China Flight 1107 from Beijing to Baotou landed at the Erdos Airport and the Juneyao Airlines Flight 1137 from Shanghai to Baotou landed at the Taiyuan Airport.

Note: On August 24, 2010, a Chinese airliner broke apart in the woods just two km ahead of the runway in Yichun, a remote forest-surrounded city in China''s northeast Heilongjiang Province, killing 42 passengers and injuring 54 others.  No word yet, as to the cause of the crash.
It was China''s first major air disaster since a China Eastern Airlines jet crashed in Baotou City in Inner Mongolia in November 2004, killing 53 people on board, including two people on the ground.
UFO interference?  Who knows.  Perhaps the Captain (of the recent crash) who has survived, may soon shed light on the cause. -SW
