Know When The ISS Will Pass Over You

International Space Station

New!  Spot The Station

How many times have people witnessed a bright glowing object passing overhead, in the predawn or post sunset sky, then thought they had just seen a UFO?  Plenty!

Sure, there are things out there in the skies that can't be easily explained but many things are not definitely not of extraterrestrial origin.

The international Space Station is easily the third brightest object in the sky, just after the sun and moon.  If you know when and where to look, you can easily identify it as it passes by.

NASA now has "Spot the Station" service, which will send you an email or phone text message, a few hours before the space station passes over your house.

I just signed up for it.  It easy!

Simply go to Spot The Station ( http://spotthestation.nasa.gov/ ), and choose your country, state and the closest city listed.  Supply your email address or phone number (SMS enabled phone required), then receive a code and finish registering.  That's it!

You can also choose the time of sightings your prefer, such as mornings, evenings, or anytime.

Or if you prefer, you can still go to NASA's Human Space Flight site and check the schedules.  Either way, enjoy!
