I received this report from a witness, who along with his wife observed lights over League City, Texas, on May 18, 2012.

Location: League City, TX
Date of Sighting: 05/18/2012
Time: approx. 21:00 (9:00 p.m.)
Duration: about 1 minute
Shape: Sphere/Oval/Orbs/Disc
Characteristics: Red/orange Lights

1st email:
"Saw this an hour ago over league city. See attached picture."

After I asked how long the objects were observed and in what direction they were traveling, the witness replied:

"Only for about a minute as we were driving home.  They were traveling along Louisiana Ave north towards 518.  Figured it was either some event for Kemah or something heading back to Ellington Field.  I thought it might have been fire from a hot air balloon but could not see the outline of either a balloon or basket.  It looked too low and flying too slow to be a conventional aircraft and the light was solid and bright and not blinking.  Either way it was weird."

The witness also stated that the objects were flying too low and slow to be conventional aircraft and the lights were not characteristic of planes, or helicopters.

I requested and received permission to post the photos and report.

Note: I enlarged and cropped the triangle formation of lights, to get a better view of them.  Upon  examination, it appears that there may be energy of sorts, surrounding each light.

  1. On May 19th, 2012 around 9:15 pm we also observed these six red lights moving in the sky from our backyard (facing Louisiana Street), going north. After the initial six lights there was one additional light following from a distance. They just faded out after several minutes. (Had enough time to notice them, go inside and get a camera and they were still there).

    1. My mom and I with other friends in ozark missouri saw the 6 orange balls in the sky while we were grilling. They came from the southwest and were low and bright. This around 10pm to 1030 pm. No sounds whatsoever. None of us could figure this out.

  3. My son and I saw the same thing in League City, Texas about 9:00pm. We were on St. Christopher in the parking lot of Huntcliff Apartments. Then another young lady pulled in and stopped and witnessed it along with us. My son did tell me that him and 2 friends saw the same thing a few weeks ago as they were driving down 270. I kept my eye on the last one as the lights disappear, I could still see some kind of object flying. I never believed in UFO's until last night.

  4. I live in Katy, TX about 40 minutes from league city. I saw the same six orange lights coming over Katy around 915 pm on Saturday may 19 2012. The lights were orange. There were six lights in two groups of three lights each. They moved from southeast to west. They made no sound, had no red and green wing lights, and no red strobe. One light went all the way across sky and I lost in the planet on western horizon. The others faded away one by one.

  8. My sister has reported seeing orange balls of light in the sky (over southern Ohio) for the past month or so, but the lights she sees are solitary and will appear and then take off at an extreme rate of speed. They only come into view for a few seconds at a time, but she has seen them on several occasions - sometimes more than one in one night. These lights are appearing frequently. No idea what they are.

  9. Just saw ~ 12 of these over Friendswood, TX moving from the southern horizon to the north/northwest and disappearing about 30^ over the horizon, perfectly straight line, appearing about 30 seconds apart and taking ~40 seconds to transit, with the last one appearing to go straight up from the southern horizon. Appearance is exactly as pictured.
