Space, the final frontier. These have been the voyages of the space shuttle Discovery. Her 30 year mission: To seek out new science. To build new outposts. To bring nations together on the final frontier. To boldly go, and do, what no spacecraft has done before,” Shatner said over the “Theme from Star Trek.


Star Date 03072011- The wake-up call by no less than Captain Kirk (William Shatner) himself, noting the last of a long and illustrious career for Discovery.  Marking it's 39th and final mission and 30 years of successful flights, the shuttle Discovery will be decommissioned in the later part of 2011.

Discovery and the International Space Station parted ways on Monday morning, beginning it's final return to Earth. Discovery is expected to land at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Wednesday.
