I too saw the blue and red alternating lights. My partner and I were on the ambulance and were returning from a call when we first saw it. We filled up with fuel at a gas station on FM 2410 and watched it for 10 to 15 minutes. It was fun to watch and we were suspect that due to its location (constantly over Carl Levin park) that it may have been an RC craft and the operator was most likely in the park.

We traveled to Carl Levin and and joined about half a dozen other people in the parking lot who were watching it hover directly over head. At one point the lights changed from blue to red and in the split second of no lights on you could clearly see a tail fin. We knew an operator was close by at that point. A minute or two later the pilot did approach the group with the control box strapped around his neck and said "Pretty neat huh?" I was perplexed as to the lack of noise and his extra long flight times. He said it was a glider, he hides in the weeds across the street from the park and does this on a regular basis in Heights and at Belton Lake. The glider has a 6 ft wing span and he brought it down for a battery change as we were leaving.Hoganatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15175750677010514257noreply@blogger.com
